The newest trailer is here and it excites me even more! I cannot wait for this game. Before we get started let me remind you that this is all my opinion so you don't have to agree with me. Second, as always, I will be going in trailer order. Now let's jump into it!
1. Starter Final Evolutions
It's official! Rowlet's final evolution is called Decidueye and it's Grass/Ghost type. (Record skip) Wait-what?! That's right, it's Grass/Ghost type! I don't think anyone saw this type combo coming. I know I didn't. It has the typical ability Overgrow and a special move called Spirit Shackle. It's like the Arena Trap ability - the opponent can't switch out or flee but it appears to also deal damage.
Litten's final evolution is called Incineroar and it's Fire/Dark type. I expected Fire/Fighting since it looks like a wrestler. It has the typical ability Blaze and a special move called Darkest Lariat. It's an attack that ignores all the opponent's stat changes. Setting up defenses will be useless against this Pokémon.
Popplio's final evolution is called Primarina and it's Water/Fairy type. I am not surprised. Its design (from the leaks) definitely leans towards the Fairy type. It has the typical ability Torrent and a special move called Sparkling Aria. If this move's target has a burn, it is healed. Aside from removing the extra power from Guts, this ability will only be handy in double battles.
In general, I didn't like these evolutions when they appeared in the leaks. However, seeing them in action and their types, I am gaining an appreciation for them. I have changed from liking Rowlet and Litten to liking Rowlet and Popplio. I just don't know which I like best. Still, the typing of Decidueye is odd. Not in a bad way - just, odd. If you look at the Gen 6 starters, the secondary typing followed the primary typing effectiveness triangle: Psychic is effective against Fighting, Fighting is effective against Dark, Dark is effective against Psychic. In this case, Dark is effective against Ghost, Fairy is effective against Dark, but Ghost isn't effective against Fairy. The only types that are really effective against Fairy are Poison and Steel. This means one of 2 things: Ghost is getting a boost against Fairy types or maybe.....here's my other theory. Decidueye is half Ghost type, Incineroar is half Dark type, and in Primarina's dex entry, moonlight is mentioned. All of these starters seem to point towards a darker theme. What if these are just the final evolutions for Pokémon Moon and there are different final evolutions for Pokémon Sun?! This is probably way off base but it is certainly something to think about.
2. More Island Guardians
Tapu Lele is the guardian of Akala Island. She is Psychic/Fairy and has the ability Psychic Surge. It is a terrain changing ability that boosts its given type and blocks priority moves. She is very cute but I am not a fan of that much pink.
Tapu Bulu is the guardian of Ula'ula Island. He is Grass/Fairy and has the ability Grassy Surge. Again, terrain that boosts its given type and replenishes HP while also halving damage from Earthquake, Magnitude, and Bulldoze. He looks like a bull-themed bell..sort of. It's a strange design but it's okay.
Tapu Fini is the guardian of Poni Island. She is Water/Fairy and has the ability Misty Surge. It is another terrain, this time for Fairy type, and gives a boost plus halves Dragon type damage by half. It also prevents status afflictions or confusion. This is my favorite Tapu design so far.
All Tapus can use the Z move 'Guardian of Alola'. They close up their shells and become the head of a colossus that emerges from the earth and slams its fist onto the opposing Pokémon. The move only does 75% damage, surprisingly. You would think it would do more damage than that. Anyway, a cool move that is fitting of the Tapus.
3. New Pokémon - more, I mean
Cosmog is a cute Psychic type ball of gas that has the ability Unaware. Its dex entry gives an indication that it could evolve but for now it isn't certain. It bears some resemblance to Solgaleo and Lunala, the cover art legendaries. I think this could possibly be another Sun/Moon exclusive evolution - Solgaleo in Sun and Lunala in Moon. Why? Its dex entry says that it grows if light hits it. Maybe moonlight causes one evolution while sunlight causes the other? Who knows? At any rate, I hope we get to catch one of these. It's so cute!
Alolan Persian
Um....it's Dark type and has the abilities Fur Coat and Technician but I do not like this design. It's the head...the coloring is great but the head...why is it so big? I think Game Freak was trying to make the Persian look more like a real-well-Persian (the cat, that is) by flattening its face. Unfortunately, they rounded the head a bit too much. It is different and when paired with the Alolan Meowth kind of makes sense but still...I am not crazy about this one. That's okay - I'm sure there's someone out there who likes it.
3. Battle Tree
There is a hint that a league is being built in Alola. Perhaps we will get to face the first Alola Elite Four in the game. I am more excited for the obvious post-game Battle Tree. It's a spot where you can battle alongside other trainers from previous games like Cynthia and Wally. Does this confirm a Diamond/Pearl remake? I hope so. However, the best part is yet to come. You get to battle 2 characters that haven't been seen since the post-game of Heartgold and Soulsilver, the Gen 2 remakes. That's right, Red and Blue are back! They look older - but not quite old enough. Technically, they should be about 30 years old or so but they only look 18 at the oldest. That's okay, apparently the timeline is different in the games. Still, it's so amazing to see them in the Alola region! I like how Blue is wearing green since Green was his name in the Japanese version. When the games got to the U.S., he was called Blue instead. I always called him Gary but that's okay. It's all the same character and he seems to be as cocky as ever in Alola. That Alakazam looks scary, though!
And that's it, my thoughts on the latest trailer. Again, I can't wait for the game. Leave a comment telling me what you thought of the latest trailer and which starter you will pick. Top 10 Alola Pokemon Released Thus Far
With the new demo out, the hype for Pokémon Sun/Moon is at an all time high. However, I don't want to spoil anything for you, dear readers. So, I will just say that the graphics and the music are wonderful. Anyway, this demo has also given me time to reevaluate how I feel about all the Pokémon that have been released thus far for the new games. So I decided for this week that I would compose a list of my favorites thus far. Please note that I will be excluding legendaries and Alolan forms. This is just for Pokémon exclusive to the Alola region. Also, as always, this is just my opinion so you don't have to agree with it. With that out of the way, let's jump into it!
10. Wimpod
Despite its name and description, this little guy has a special place in my heart. I like its design and its ability can be useful in certain situations. The main draw of this Pokémon is its potential. I have not looked at the 'leaked' Pokédex but I have a good feeling that he will evolve into something pretty cool which is why he's on this list.
9. Palossand
I have always loved Ghost types and this one is no exception. I also like that it's a sand castle. It's very appropriate for this tropical region and its ability means it will become more defensive if hit with a Water type move. Plus, its creepy Pokédex entry is one of my favorites.
8. Oricorio - Sensu Style
The best part of Pokémon games is that every player can have their own unique team. Oricorio adds to that with its multiple forms. I like the Sensu style best because of its colors, and that it's part Ghost type. I also love that it looks like it's holding fans. Plus, its ability allows it to use an opponent's dancing moves after the opponent uses them. Basically, setting up on this Pokémon won't work unless it is a non-dancing move (i.e. not Swords Dance, Quiver Dance, Dragon Dance, etc.).
7. Minior
This is another Pokémon with unique forms - specifically its cores. You will have to knock the Pokémon's health to below half so you can see it, but it will be worth it in order to get the color that you want. I think there are about 4 or 5 color choices (4 are shown on the official website but they don't specify exactly how many colors there are to choose from). Minior's outer form is still pretty good because it is immune to status ailments and is pretty defensive yet slow. The core is faster, more for attack, and probably can get hit with any status affliction. Still, I love this Pokémon and wonder if it's related to Solrock and Lunatone in any way. It's possible.
6. Togedemaru
Every region has its Pikachu clone. Johto has Marill. Hoenn has Plusle and Minun. Sinnoh has Pachirisu. Unova has Emolga and Kalos has Dedenne. The Alola Region has Togedemaru. I like its Electric/Steel typing and its abilities are pretty good. Plus it is super cute. However, there is only a slim chance that it will evolve (very slim) so that's why it isn't further up on this list.
5. Comfey
When I first saw this Pokémon in a trailer, I didn't like it. It seemed so dumb - a Pokémon that's a lei. Then I read the Pokédex entry and studied it a bit more. It isn't a lei...it just makes them. The actual Pokémon is very small and carries the lei (kind of like Flabebe or Floette). I have gradually come to love this cute little Pokémon. Plus, its ability also means that its healing moves have priority in battle. That is super handy.
4. Bounsweet
I have loved this Pokémon since it was first released. It is so cute and it's a Grass type, one of my favorite types. My only issue with this Pokémon is its evolution line. I like the middle evolution, Steenee, okay. It's the final evolution, Tsareena, that I don't like. The proportions are off (legs are too big/long) and it just is not where I was expecting/hoping this Pokémon would go in terms of design. It's not hideous but it is not attractive either. Maybe I will grow to like it in time but for now not so much.
3. Rowlet
I will be the first to admit that when I first saw the starters, I was disappointed. I honestly did not love any of them. However, I did like Rowlet and Litten more than Popplio. Time and leaks later, I am still not very thrilled with the starters. However, Rowlet still stays on top for me. I have grown to adore him and his second evolution is my favorite of the three middle evolutions. I still don't know what the final evolutions will be (aside from leaks) and I honestly hope the leaks are false. If they aren't, I will probably be going with Rowlet anyway. He's won me over with his cute bowtie and his adorable head turning in battle. How could I say no to that face?
2. Jangmo-o
This is the cutest little Dragon type ever! Just look at it. I love its middle evolution Hakamo-o and I am warming up to Kommo-o as well. Its evolved typing is unique - Dragon/Fighting and its abilities are both very good since they protect against some powerful moves like Hyper Voice (if it has Soundproof). Again, I am not a fan of yellow but with this Pokémon I don't care. I want one and eagerly await catching one in Pokémon Moon!
And the number 1 Pokémon released thus far is....
1. Mimikyu
I know, another Ghost type...Ghost/Fairy, actually which is a very unique typing. This is another case of not love at first sight. I didn't like it at all. Time and research later, I think this Pokémon is so cute and so sad since it tries to look like Pikachu so it can get some love. Its ability allows for the first hit to be without damage. What makes me like this Pokémon the most is its potential. I have seen artwork by many artists online that show what it would look like if it chose to mimic other Pokémon. The possibility of having so many unique looks is amazing. Even if you don't have multiple appearances, don't despair, Mimikyu. There is at least 1 trainer out there who wants to love you. I just need to catch you first.
And that's it for this post. Leave a comment below telling me your favorite Alolan Pokémon thus far. If you enjoyed this post, don't forget to follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Enjoy the Sun/Moon demo and as always, keep on gaming!

Type:Null Evolves?! Big News From Latest Pokemon Sun/Moon Trailer
The latest trailer is out and it has me so excited that I have to post about it this week. As usual, I will go in trailer order so I can keep my thoughts organized. Let's jump into it!
Silvally
Type:Null has an evolution. I joked in an earlier post that if it had a faster, unmasked form, I would hate to meet it in battle. Silvally is that unmasked form and I don't know if it's faster but it is certainly more intimidating. This evolution is a great improvement from the previous design. I like it much more than Type:Null. It's ability is RKS system. RKS....Arceus....coincidence? I think not. This Pokémon is literally a man-made Arceus with color-changing depending upon type and held item ability and a move that changes type to match the current type of the Pokémon. This has Aether Foundation written all over it. I don't know what's scarier: the fact that someone made a synthetic Arceus or whatever beast Silvally is meant to face. Either way, I am excited for the storyline of this game.
Hakamo-o and Kommo-o
Jangmo-o evolves into Hakamo-o then later into Kommo-o. They are both Dragon/Fighting type and I can't believe that I called that when I was speculating in an earlier post. The typing is different and the designs are amazing. I think Kommo-o may have too many scales but other than that, it's not bad. I even like it's special move: Clanging Scales. I don't know if I will use a Jangmo-o but I will enjoy seeing it and its evolutions in the game.
Steenee and Tsareena
Bounsweet evolves into Steenee and later Tsareena. Steenee is cute but Tsareena.....um....not so much. I don't like this design at all. In fact, I was quite disappointed in this design. I think it's the legs. I don't think they fit with Bounsweet...plus it's move Trop Kick makes no sense because Tsareena's feet are just points. Queenly Majesty prevents priority moves which is great but why didn't they just give it Bruxish's ability? It's the same ability...just a different name. At any rate, they went the Gardevoir route for the evolutions and it didn't really work this time. If they had gone more fruit-like in the evolutions then they probably would have been much better. Still, they're not terrible.
Ribombee
Cutiefly's evolution is confirmed! This thing is very cute but still seems lacking in color. It's Bug/Fairy typing is cool and it is a great evolution for Cutiefly. Honey Gather just seems like an ability picked because it's a bee and convenient. Honey Gather isn't really helpful in battle. Why not give it Pixellate or Sweet Veil? I just hope this isn't another Combee that's cute but has horrible abilities and stats.
Alolan Grimer and Muk
More Alolan forms and boy do these disappoint - sort of. I don't like Alolan Grimer's design at all. I like Alolan Muk with its moving bands of color. I also don't like the typing. They went from Poison to Poison/Dark. Surely, Game Freak, you have more imagination than that. Still, it's not bad. I do like Muk and at least they are different from regular Grimers and Muks. I just feel like they could have done so much more with their designs.
Olivia
The Kahuna of Akala Island is lovely. She appears to use Rock types and I wonder if she's related to Grant. My only issue with this character is her outfit. I feel that it's a bit revealing for a character in a game that is meant for children. Other than that, I like her look and can't wait to battle her.
Ilima
Ilima (I hope that' s 'Il' not 'Ll') is the newest revealed Trial Captain. This Captain specializes in Normal types. I like Ilima's look but I am having difficulty determining his/her gender. It's hard to tell..but I'm going to assume he's a guy. I wonder if he will use Pokémon that are Normal type only or primary Normal type like Pidgey. Either way, I can't wait to start taking the Trial Challenges! Bring it on!
Well that's it for now. The demo is in 3 days and I still don't know if I want to play it or not. November can't get here soon enough! Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and if so, follow me so you won't miss future posts. Leave a comment below telling me how you felt about the latest Sun/Moon trailer. Until next time, keep on gaming!

Latest Trailer thoughts - Evolved Starters and more!
The latest trailer for Sun and Moon was on Tuesday and it had a lot of information in it. I have contemplated on it and will now give you my thoughts on this wonderful trailer. Let's go!
Dartrix
Rowlet's middle evolution is gothic and a bit self-centered. I adore this Pokémon. I especially love its leaf bangs. It's too adorable! It is still Grass/Flying and has the ability Overgrow. It seems to shoot feather darts from it's wings (hence the name) which looks really cool. The ability seems standard and sort of bland. I wonder if the final evolution will get a better ability. Still, I like this design.
Torracat
Litten's evolution is a slightly bigger cat. It sports a flame sac shaped like a bell under it's chin. This is an interesting touch. I'm used to the fire starters breathing fire (ember to flamethrower) and wonder if there will be any new fire moves made for this particular 'fire bell'. This Pokémon is Fire type and has the ability Blaze which is another typical Fire starter ability. Again, I like this design.
Brionne
The Water clown turns into a Water dancer as Popplio evolves into Brionne. This design is definitely on the more feminine side like Braixen. It is Water Type and has the standard Water Starter ability Torrent. It is also lighter in color than it's pre-evolution and still just as happy. I am not sure what I think of this evolution. The 'ears' are strange looking and I still don't know if I like Popplio. Still, it's an okay design.
In general, I like the evolutions. Just like before, I am still leaning towards Litten or Rowlet for my starter. I just don't know which I like better. It all depends upon the starters' final evolutions. Speaking of which, the designs all seem to point to those notorious Chinese leaks. Dartrix's dart throwing and leaf bangs definitely point towards a feather archer. Torracat's front legs are beefier than it's back legs and it's Pokédex entry mention's their strength. That and the flaring flame sac all seem to point to the wrestler evolution. Finally, Brionne's more feminine appearance definitely looks like it's heading towards the siren/mermaid evolution. I hope this isn't the case. I am not a fan of the Fire wrestler and the other two are okay. I was just really hoping for better designs. Still, only time will tell.
Festival Plaza
When I first saw this, I was reminded of Join Avenue in Black/White 2. It seems that Game Freak has improved upon the idea where you can interact with other players and get items for coins that you earn here. It looks like fun and I especially love the bouncy house shaped like Drifblim.
Poké Pelago
Have you ever wished that you could use the Pokémon that are in the PC? Well, now you can! This new area is a bunch of islands that the Pokémon in your PC can visit. There is an island for collecting beans and attracting new Pokémon. There is an island for leveling up and even an island for finding treasure (like evolution stones). I love this idea and can't wait to try it out for myself. It reminds me of Pokémon Daycare and I wonder...is there a cost to use this area? I mean, like in Daycare, the longer you leave the Pokémon, the more you spend to get them back. Is it like that? Also, if you leave the Pokémon on the leveling up island, will you get notified if they learn new moves? Or will it be like Daycare where they learn new moves without your knowledge/consent? Still, it's a great idea!
Mega Evolution Confirmed
One of the biggest questions has been answered! Yes, you can still mega evolve your Pokémon! I had a feeling this would be the case but it is nice to have it confirmed. The only issue is that there doesn't appear to be any new mega evolutions which is very disappointing. I guess Butterfree will never get that Mega Evolution....maybe an Alolan form though? Please?
Special Demo
On Oct. 18 there will be a special demo of the game(s) released. The big thing about this is the special Pokémon you will be given to experience it with. That's right - it's Ash-Greninja! Thanks to a new ability called Battle Bond, Greninja will now turn into Ash-Greninja when an opponent is defeated. While this is cool....I don't know if I like this Pokémon or not. I guess I have to think on this some more. I mean, the design is cool but still....I don't know. Also, due to the incredibly specific name of this Pokémon (and appearance), does this mean Ash will be in the games too? That would be interesting.
Well, there you have it. The new trailer had many ups and downs but will still thrilling. I cannot wait for this game and may play the demo version on the 18th. I still don't know which starter I want but I'm sure that's how everyone feels at this point. Still, I like where everything is going. Well, that wraps it up for this week. Leave me a comment with your opinions of the trailer and don't forget to follow me so you don't miss out on any future posts. Until next time, keep on gaming and blog happy!

Top 5 Likes and Dislikes of Pokemon X
As I await the latest news for Pokémon Sun and Moon to be revealed on Oct. 4th, I have begun to reflect upon the previous generation's games that I have played, specifically - Pokémon X. I enjoyed the game and there was plenty that I liked and disliked. So, I decided to compose a list of my top 5 likes and dislikes for that game. Without further ado, here are my Top 5 Likes and Dislikes of Pokémon X.
Likes
5. Skates
I never really used the bicycle much in previous games. I preferred to run or walk unless I specifically needed the bicycle. I just found it tedious to switch between walking and biking (even with short cut keys). I love the addition of skates since all you need is to push the circle pad to use them. On top of that, you can do tricks. I find skates to be a great upgrade to the bicycle and hope it is used in future generations.
4. Character Customization
The greatest moment of the game was when I got to change the character's clothes for the first time. I feel this one concept helps to enhance the experience in the game. Plus it is lots of fun to experiment with different outfits and hairstyles.
3. Graphics
The graphics were so amazing in this game. Anistar City was one of my favorite locations because of the giant crystal. I also enjoyed Reflection Cave and Lumiose City. Every area is beautiful and detailed. The Pokémon looked more alive with 3D models instead of sprites. Everything was just very well done and I applaud Game Freak for it.
2. Wonder Trade
Totally amazing! Nothing is more fun that trading on Wonder Trade. The ability to trade with a random person (without knowing their friend code) is amazing. The best part is that you don't know what you are going to get. I have gotten a lot from Wonder Trade including legendary and shiny Pokémon. The key is to just enjoy it and if you get something that you don't want like a Wurmple or Zigzagoon then just trade again. It's also fun to see all the different countries that you trade with like Norway, Mexico, and Japan.
1. Exp. Share
I was so thrilled when I discovered that the Exp. Share has returned to the way that it should be. Now all of your Pokémon get experience for every battle. That is so helpful and really cuts down on grinding time. Actually, I didn't have to grind at all when I played through Pokémon X. It was that easy and really helped me enjoy the game. I hope this doesn't change in gen 7.

5. Few New Pokémon
I was so disappointed in how few new Pokémon we got for this generation. I guess that I had come to expect at least 100 new Pokémon and all we got was around 70. Plus, you can't get the other 2 starters or game variants without trading and 3 legendaries weren't in the games at all (except for events). It just seemed like the Pokédex was a little neglected for that generation.
4. Character Customization
How can this be both a like and a dislike? While I loved customizing your character, I did not like the lack of options. There was an okay amount of clothes but they only had 1 to 2 color options and that was only on certain days. Hair options were sparse plus you couldn't even take your character's hat off it you wanted to do so. So, yeah, I liked it and I disliked it at the same time.
3. Storyline
The story was okay but felt a little lackluster. The ending left more questions that answers. There was no resolution at all. The whole story felt very incomplete from start to finish. I really wish that story had more to it.
2. The Stylish Requirement
What is this? Well, certain places (the clothing store in Lumiose City and the Lost Hotel) would not let you in because you weren't stylish enough. Why is this an issue? In order to get more stylish, you would have to do tasks around Lumiose over and over again. In order to see if you were even close to what you needed, you had to ask a gentleman in the Stone Emporium for the cost of a Kanto starter mega stone. When the price was finally dropped from 1 million to 10 thousand, you were stylish enough. Needless to say, I spent a good amount of time working on this just to gain access to a shop. It didn't seem to be worth the effort.
1. Stone Emporium
When I saw the sign, I thought 'oh good, I can get any evolution stone that I need'. I walk inside and what do they sell? Fire, Leaf, and Water stones...and that's it. It doesn't change. For other stones, you either have to find them in game or earn them in super training. If the store is called an emporium, you assume that they will have a huge variety of products to sell. When you walk there are many different color stones in glass cases. Yet, the clerk will only sell you 3 types. I know this seems small but it just annoyed me so much. If you can get just about any type of poke ball that you want, why not evolutionary stones?
Well there you have it. I am sorry for the lateness of this post. Something came up and I couldn't get to a computer for a while. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post as much I enjoyed writing it. As always, leave me a comment and follow me so you don't miss new posts. Until next time, keep on gaming and blog happy!
