A Few Gift Giving Tips for this Holiday Season
It's that time of year and if you're like me, you are trying to figure out what to get for that special someone. If you're struggling, here's a few quick tips to help you out.
1. Remain Calm
Getting stressed out isn't going to help anything. A gift bought in a panic-infused frenzy is probably going to be something you will regret. Just keep calm and remind yourself that everything will work out.
2. If no money to buy, DIY
A handmade gift is just as great, if not better than a store bought gift. It doesn't matter how the gift turns out - your special someone will love it just the same. No ideas? A quick Google search of their favorite pastime and DIY should be more than enough to get you some inspiration.
3. If really in doubt - gift card it out
Sometimes a gift card is the best idea for a gift if you really have no idea what to get your special someone. They can spend the money on what they want and you won't be stressing out trying to decide which sweater they'd like.
The main point of this season is to just enjoy it while it lasts. The frantic shopping and family drama will only last 14 days more and it really isn't as bad as it seems. Cherish this moment and don't stress out about gifts - the real gift is the time you get to spend with those that you love. So stay safe, don't stress, and as always, keep on gaming. :)

DIY Pokemon Ornaments
Tis the season for tree trimming and what better way to personalize your tree than with Pokémon themed ornaments. Now if you are like me, you don't want to spend a lot of money on ornaments so it's DIY all the way! For your reading/crafting pleasure, I have assembled a list of DIY ornament ideas and links that I think you will enjoy. Let's get into it!
DIY Pokémon Christmas Decorations
These darling little ornaments take a small Pokémon figure and surround it with any little fun items that you want. The result is a snow globe style ornament to hang on your tree. The post isn't terribly specific on the directions but you get the idea.
Pokémon Christmas Ornaments!
For a simpler approach, try painting on clear ornaments then using anything you want for filler to be your background color. Yarn was used in the linked post but I think anything could be used.
How to Make Pokeballs Tutorial
This Youtube video tutorial is simple but the results are great. The best part is that there are so many variations that you can do based upon the type of Pokéballs that you want to make.
Pokéball Sequins Ornaments
This Instructables tutorial is very detailed and the result is exquisite. The best part is that even though Instructables asks you to sign up with them, if you say no then you can still see the full tutorial unlike with a certain other site.. (cough) Pinterest (cough). I may try this one myself.
And there are my picks for some DIY Pokémon theme ornaments. If DIY isn't your thing, that's fine. You should still look, though, just to see what others can do. It may inspire you. Who knows? I hope you enjoyed the post and please Follow me if you did so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me your favorite DIY ornaments, Pokémon or otherwise. Stay safe this holiday season, stay warm, and above all, keep on gaming!
