October is almost over and I am finally doing a Halloween-themed post. I know, it's late and before you ask, I am aware of the 'rainbow rocket' news but I didn't feel it was enough for a post. There will be a new trailer on the 2nd which I will discuss on the next post. Okay, let's get into it! Here is my list of the top ten Ghost type Pokémon. Please remember that this is all my opinion and if you don't agree - that's fine.
10. Mimikyu
I could not make a list without putting Mimikyu on it. From its need to be loved to its creepy Pikachu appearance, this Pokémon deserves a spot on this list.
9. Rotom
What's better than 1 Pokémon? How about 5? Rotom can take on 5 different forms depending upon which electronic device it interacts with. From an oven to a lawn mower, this Pokémon gives you lots of options. Strangely enough, when it takes one of these forms, it loses its Ghost typing. Isn't the interesting?
8. Froslass
From its haunting cry to its delicate form, this Pokémon definitely leaves a chilling impression. It's been one of my favorites since Gen 4 and I eagerly look forward to finding a female Snorunt so I can evolve it into this beautiful Pokémon. Now if only Dawn Stones were easier to find...
7. Chandelure
Ah, Gen 5, one of my favorites generations. Why? It brought us some interesting new Pokémon designs like this gothic chandelier. I adore this entire Pokémon evolution line and will happily use it whenever I get the chance.
6. Spiritomb
Who could forget the Ghost type used by Sinnoh's champion, Cynthia?? Spiritomb may have an odd way to be encountered but that doesn't make it any less powerful. Being both Dark and Ghost, it only has one weakness - Fairy type moves! Now if that isn't powerful, I don't know what is.
5. Pumpkaboo
This time of year always makes me think of Pumpkaboo with their pumpkin and bat inspired design. They are so cute and come in a range of sizes (just like real pumpkins). I particularly like that it gets a move called Trick-or-Treat. Combine that move with Ghostium or Lunalium Z and it gains an added effect of raising all stats. Not bad!
4. Gengar
I cannot have this list without the original Ghost/Poison type Pokémon of Gen 1 : Gengar. From his big smile to his dance, you know this Pokémon loves what he does. He's even happier in his Mega evolution form which is one of the few Megas that I like to use. My only issues are that he lost his Levitate ability and you have to trade it in order to evolve it. Either way, it's still a very powerful and fun Pokémon to use.
3. Trevenant
This is without a doubt one of my favorite designs for Ghost type Pokémon. Trevenant perfectly personifies a haunted tree. From its gnarled roots to its one red eye, it is both creepy and awesome at the same time. Again, this is a Pokémon with trade evolution but it is still pretty awesome.
2. Drifloon
This Pokémon is my favorite of the Gen 4 Ghost types. I used one while playing Diamond once and I fell in love with it. It's so cute plus is surprisingly powerful with its duel typing. I can see why Fantina uses and dresses like a Drifblim. It's amazing.
1. Decidueye
Okay, I admit it. Rowlet is my favorite starter from Sun and Moon. Also, the entire line is one of the only 2 starter evolution lines in which I love every stage (the other being the Torchic line). Usually I only love the first and last stages - or just the first two stages in some cases. Anyway, the point is that I love Decidueye. I originally didn't think much of Decidueye until its typing was revealed. I was thrilled to see a starter that became a Ghost type. It made the design that much better. I loved using Decidueye in Moon and will probably use it in Ultra Sun or Moon as well. I can't help it - it's my favorite.
Well, that's it for this week. I'm sorry it took so long for this post but I've been busy this weekend. Follow me if you enjoyed this post and don't want to miss out on further posts. Leave a comment below telling me your favorite Ghost type Pokémon. I hope you have a great weekend and a Happy Halloween! Oh, and as always, keep on gaming!

Latest Ultra Sun and Moon Trailer Promises Darker Game
It's no surprise that yet another trailer for Ultra Sun and Moon has been released. This trailer is short - barely a minute and half long - but it makes a lasting impression. Since the Japanese and English trailers are essentially the same this week, I will cover the English trailer only. You can view the trailers here (for English) and here (Japanese) before reading further, if you wish. Well, let's get into it!
First of all, this trailer is all about the plot. Through game snippets, we are a given a general idea of what the game is to be about. Professor Kukui mentions that Alola had dealt with and conquered a darkness long ago using light. His wife, Professor Burnet, tells us that worm holes are known to appear in Alola's sky on occasion in the rarest of circumstances. We then Phyco, a member of the Ultra Recon Squad, mention that Necrozma can manipulate light and will take Alola's light. We then see Necrozma appear from a wormhole and fight Lunala as light and darkness clashing repeatedly. We then are treated to clips of Ultra Beasts and Necrozma's Dusk Mane form.
The trailer continues with more quick clips of light and other characters. The trailer finally ends with Necrozma reaching out and taking the light. I think the light is meant to represent the sun or maybe one of the legendaries? It's not clear but the overall trailer combined with the amazing music gives us a dark, intense vision of Alola that can only be described as amazing. I am hoping that Ultra Sun and Moon live up to this hype with their story and gameplay. I am all for a darker Pokémon game and this one seems wonderfully dark compared to the first game.
There is one thing that I am curious about. Among the characters shown, there are Lusamine and Gladion. It reminded me of something Gladion tells you when you receive Type:Null from him in Pokémon Sun and Moon. He mentions that his father first discovered the worm holes then disappeared while experimenting on one. That's why Lusamine was bent on finding the way into Ultra Space. I wonder... will Gladion's father make an appearance in the new game?? It's hard to say. At any rate, I am so excited for the new games which will be out in less than a month. Sadly, I now highly doubt they will reveal any new Pokémon besides UBs so I guess I will have to start figuring out my new team for the next game. This may be a harder decision than I first thought.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on further posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of the latest trailers. Do you like the darker game theme or prefer the original Alolan vibe? I'd love to know what you think! Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

New Z-Moves and Rotom Dex Gets Some Love
Another trailer has dropped and as usual, it only adds to the hype. You can see the trailer here or the Japanese trailer here. This time it's all about the new Necrozma forms. First, we have Dusk Mane Necrozma which is Psychic/Steel type. This isn't surprising since Solgaleo is a Psychic/Steel type. This form of Necrozma also gets the ability Prism Armor just like normal Necrozma. It also has its own exclusive Z-Move: Searing Sunraze Smash. I'm not sure of the typing for this move but considering Solgaleo's signature move Sunsteel Strike is Steel type then I will guess that this Z-Move is also Steel type.
Next, we have Dawn Wings Necrozma which is Psychic/Ghost like Lunala and also has the ability Prism Armor. Like the other form, it has its own exclusive Z-Move, too: Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom. Boy, these new Z-Moves' names are quite a mouthful, huh? I'm not sure of the typing for this move but considering Lunala's signature move Moongeist Beam is Ghost type then I will guess that this Z-Move is also Ghost type. Both forms are shown using Necrozma's new move: Photon Geyser. I'm not sure what the typing is but I will guess it might be Psychic type.
Lastly, the Rotom Dex gets a little love. Now players can interact with Rotom Dex by responding to it. The more you interact, the friendlier it gets which leads to new features. First, we have the Rotom-Loto to get items. By items, it appears to mean what used to be called 'O-Powers' which can be a big help if you're hunting Pokémon or breeding. There were a few Rotom powers listed that I didn't recognize. I am eager to see what they can do. However, one in particular was explained: Rotom's new Z-Power. Basically, he can make it so you can 2 Z-Moves per battle. I don't know if this will be usable in competitive battling but in-game it could be very useful.
Well, that's all I have for this week. I apologize for the lateness but I was too busy yesterday. Anyway, I hope you liked this post and will Follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of the new trailers. Do you like the Z-Moves? Do you think it's a good idea to put more emphasis on interacting with the Rotom Dex? Tell me what you hope some of these Rotom powers do! Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

New Trailer - New UB - Same Old Excitement
Another trailer has dropped in English and Japanese and as usual, it has me hyped to play the upcoming games, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. I will give my overall thoughts pertaining to both trailers. You can view the Japanese trailer here and the English trailer here. Let's get into it!!
The Japanese trailer and English trailer have mostly the same stuff so I will talk about them as if they were one. The trailers both start out with footage of the main character riding Solgaleo and Lunala through an Ultra Wormhole. This confirms that there will be more exploration into the world of the Ultra Beasts. Then we are treated to footage of the different areas within this world. The jungle area in particular reminds me of a Mario Kart track. I can't wait to see what this world has to offer.
The next area is particularly intriguing: Ultra Megalopolis. This place appears to have limited light due to Necrozma taking the light away. I can only imagine how this will pertain to the story. I do like how the area reflects the design of Necrozma with its jagged black crystal shapes. I also wonder how many people are actually living in this world. Speaking of which, that brings us to our next point: the Ultra Recon Squad. Do they live in the Ultra Beast world or are they just studying it. Either way, they are the new evil team. In a Ruby/Sapphire twist, the members that you interact with depends upon which game you have. Dulse and Zossie are in Ultra Sun while Phyco and Soliera are in Ultra Moon.
The next reveal is thus far my favorite from this trailer: a new UB! This one is called UB Adhesive in English and UB Sticky in the Japanese trailer. I have to say that this is probably my favorite UB so far. It's so adorable! I can't wait to catch one. I also love that it's Poison type. That means it will be useful against Fairy types. Speaking of types, the type for UB Burst has been revealed to be Fire/Ghost. I can see the Ghost part- sort of- but I don't see where the Fire part comes from. I guess this is another example of why UBs are different from regular Pokémon. UB Assembly's type is Rock/Steel which is just what I was expecting. Lastly, UB Burst shows off its new move: Mind Blown. It seems very powerful but also very dangerous due to the massive amount of recoil damage that is taken when the move is used.
Well, that's it for this week. Overall, this trailer was really good and got me really excited for the new games. I hope you enjoyed the post as much I enjoyed writing it. If so, follow me so you won't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me your thoughts on the new trailers. Are you excited? Do you like UB Adhesive? Does UB Burst's typing make sense? I would love to know what you think! Have a good weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!
