My Top 5 Favorite Christmas Movies

Ah, it's that time of year again. It's time to curl up with cup of hot chocolate, some cookies, and a good Christmas movie. Christmas movies are shown on just about every channel from Thanksgiving to New Year's so it's impossible to not indulge in a few of them. Of course, there are always the favorites which you pull out every year without exception. I also have some favorites and I would like to share them with you. So, without any further ado, here are my Top 5 Favorite Christmas Movies.

5. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Oh come on, you knew that this was going to be on the list somewhere. Although it is the shortest movie on this list, it is still entertaining and fun. It's about Charlie Brown (of course) and how he is finding it hard to get into the Christmas spirit this year. One of the charms of the Peanuts gang is how they are children who talk and act like adults. This predicament of Charlie Brown's is particularly relatable. We've all had that one year where we just couldn't get into the spirit of the holidays. At any rate, this is a timeless movie with timeless charm, music, and heart.

4. A Christmas Story

This is one of those films that I didn't like at first. When I was young, I didn't understand my parents' desire to watch this every year. As I grew older, I began appreciating it more and more. Now I understand it very well. It's about a boy named Ralphie who wants to get a special gift for Christmas. We all remember how we hinted and begged for that one Christmas gift that we really wanted. This movie is simply Christmas nostalgia reminding us of those childhood Christmases filled with fun, drama, and even a disaster or two.

3.  Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer

There is something about those old stop-motion specials that I always like. My favorite of all of them is Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's the legend of Rudolph as narrated by a snowman. It is a wonderful film with great songs and endearing characters. It's the ultimate misfit adventure including misfit toys, a flying lion, and an abominable snowman. It's a must see for the kid in all of us.

2. Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

It's no secret the Beauty and the Beast is my favorite animated Disney film. I was thrilled to discover they had made a Christmas movie with the original cast. This story is about Belle bringing Christmas back to the castle after the Beast had forbidden his servants to ever celebrate it again. It features some new characters, great songs, and a great new villain for this story. It has all the original magic and charm of the original movie. I eagerly await watching and singing along with this great film.

1. Scrooge

You've probably noticed by now that I love Christmas movies with music in them. It should come as no surprise then that my favorite Christmas movie of all is a musical. It's Scrooge, the musical adaptation of Charles Dicken's classic Christmas Carol starring Albert Finney. There are many, many versions of 'A Christmas Carol' but this is by far my favorite. It's fun, it's dark, it's happy and sad - it is everything you'd expect a great Christmas movie to be with great music throughout. I highly recommend watching this if you haven't already.

Well, that's it for this week. I just want to wish everyone Happy Holidays in case I don't do a post next week. I may be a bit too busy to get it done and I apologize in advance. Stay warm and safe this December and as always, keep on gaming!!!

Top 5 Totem Pokemon

As I play through Ultra Moon - and I know, I'm so slow - I begin to contemplate what I like and dislike about the new games compared to Sun and Moon. One of the things that sticks out is the Totem Pokémon. Some are new, some are the same, but all have been buffed. It's clear to me that the difficulty level has definitely been increased since the first two games. That being said, there are some Totem Pokémon that I really like despite how hard they were to get past. So, here is my list of my Top 5 Totem Pokémon. Please note that I will consider Totems from all 4 games for this list. Here we go!

5. Totem Wishiwashi

My favorite Totem cutscene has to be the one where Totem Wishiwashi appears. The moment is so cool yet terrifying. That's why I had to put Wishiwashi on the list.

4. Totem Araquanid

If there is one thing that took the last entry's cutscene to a whole new level, it's the Araquanid. A giant spider coming out of the water instead of the big fish you were expecting was a perfect touch. It kept a moment exciting and terrifying even though the trial is basically the same. On top of that, it knows Aurora Beam which not only destroys your flying types but also isn't in its moveset (including TMs). Great job on that one, Game Freak. I totally didn't see it coming!

3. Totem Mimikyu

Yes, the adorable yet unsettling Mimikyu is also on this list. The trial itself is one of my favorites since it includes a rather creepy Pikachu shrine. Who knew getting a photo would prove to be so difficult? Its secondary Fairy typing only adds to the difficulty but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable.

2. Totem Ribombee

When I played Pokémon Moon, I was a little annoyed and relieved when Mina didn't have a trial. That was fixed in Ultra Moon and I was so happy to see that a giant Ribombee was her Totem Pokémon. I used a Cutiefly when I played Pokémon Moon and I fell in love with it and its evolution. This Totem was also a bit difficult but still so cool.

1. Totem Togedemaru

I am not going to lie - I was ecstatic to see this Totem Pokémon appear. Togedemaru is my favorite Alolan Pokémon so seeing a giant one is wonderful. It's cuteness overload!!

Well, that does it for my list. I hope you enjoyed this list and will follow me so you don't miss out on upcoming posts. Do you agree or disagree with this list? Leave me a comment below telling me which Totems you liked or disliked the most. I look forward to reading your comments. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!!

Top 5 Legendaries I Want to Hunt in Ultra Moon

Two weeks have passed since I bought Ultra Moon and I  am still not finished with it. I have been busy, it's true, but it still feels like I beat Moon in half the time that it's taken me to play Ultra Moon. That's okay, because I am enjoying every minute of it. However, there are a few things that I still can't wait for - and one of those things is legendary hunting. Why? Have you seen the legendary list for these games? Sure there are exclusives and some Pokémon can only be found if you have the other 2 thirds of their trio in your party, but that still leaves a lot that you can hunt for regardless of which game you own. I can't wait to start hunting for legendaries and see just how difficult the process is - will it be more tedious than the originals or about the same? Either way, it's a shame we can't buy master balls. I mean - seriously, why not?? If every evil team can get their hands on one why not the general public?? Anyway, that aside, it still will be a new take on an old experience which I am excited for. So with that being said, here are my top 5 legendaries that I want to hunt for in Ultra Moon. Please note that these are only Pokémon that you can get in Ultra Moon and I will not be including those Pokémon that require the rest of their trio in your party.

5. Entei

Entei has always been my favorite of Johto's 3 legendary dogs. Sure, Suicune is cool too, but Entei is my favorite. I can't wait to finally have a 3D graphic version of this legend. I just hope it won't take too many ultra balls.

4. Lugia

My favorite Johto legend of all time is... Celebi. Yeah, I know, but it's not one of the legends you can hunt for. However, my favorite cover art legendary can be hunted in Ultra Moon. I always loved Lugia's design can't wait to see it in glorious 3D graphics. If only its shiny was better.. oh well, at least I can catch it.

3. Zekrom

Unova has brought us a lot of cool Pokémon. I know I may be in the minority for thinking that way, but some of my favorite designs came from Unova. Of the 2 cover legendaries, Zekrom is my favorite and I can't wait to see how he looks in Gen 7 graphics. I know I talk about the new graphics a lot in this list but sometimes a Pokémon's design is elevated when shown in the new graphics... and sometimes... it makes a Pokémon design look less appealing... I mean, seriously, what happened to Butterfree? It's my favorite Pokémon but the 3D sprite is - not the best. Anyway, Zekrom is awesome and definitely deserves the number 3 spot on this list.

2. Mewtwo

Mewtwo is my favorite legendary of all time. I sometimes wish he had a better movie (the original not that garbage with Genesect) and was explored a bit more. He had a great back story and is a signature Pokémon of my favorite evil team boss of all time: Giovanni. I am so glad that both will be given an appearance in Ultra Moon. I cannot wait to catch one. However, I must wonder... how come you cannot catch Mew?? Seriously, why are 'mythical' Pokémon only in events?? What if some of us weren't able to acquire the Pokémon during their events?? I think that if Mewtwo gets all this attention, Mew should too.

1. Kyogre

I admit, I never bought a copy of ORAS when it came out. I do not like the way the region of Hoenn is shown in 3D graphics. It looks like a digital pop-up book and is very cartoony. It is such a shame since Gen 3 is my favorite generation. Either way, there were 2 things from the games that I did like when I watched others play them: Wally's Victory Road theme and Kyogre's Primal Form. I cannot wait to finally summon this beast myself and see that glorious Primal Form for myself!! This form is so good it even makes the ugly pink shiny an awesome black. That is a great design! I will definitely be hunting this first and can't wait to get started.

Well, there it is, my top 5 legendaries that I want to hunt. I hope you liked this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me which legendary Pokémon you want to hunt in Ultra Sun and Moon. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!!

Top 5 Pokemon I Want to Shiny Hunt in Ultra Moon

Sorry for not posting last week - I did mention that I might not be able to do it and once again I apologize. Anyway, Ultra Sun and Moon have been out for about a week now and I have to say that I am enjoying this new trip through Alola. I will not give any specific thoughts until I review the game sometime next year. I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't finished or even played the games yet. However, the new games do give me a lot to contemplate - specifically in shiny hunting. I was never that big on shiny hunting until I got Pokémon Moon. I guess the better odds and better methods made the task seem less tedious and more rewarding. That being said, with a new game and new Pokédex, I have already picked out my top choices for shiny hunting once I finish the game. For this list, I chose only Pokémon that are new to Alola and aren't legendary since those can be their own lists somewhere down the line. So without further ado, here are my Top 5 Pokémon that I want to shiny hunt in Ultra Moon.

5. Kabuto

When I first heard that there were more fossils available, I checked to see which ones were exclusive to Ultra Moon. I was thrilled to see that my favorite Kanto fossil was among them. I know some people don't like the green but I always thought that the bright green was cool on Kabuto. I have never shiny hunted for a fossil before and I look forward to trying it out.

4. Dedenne

One of the Pokémon from X and Y that I was most excited about was Dedenne. However, when I played my copy of Pokémon X, I somehow ended up not using one since I didn't encounter one until post-game. I was thrilled to hear that Dedenne was coming to Alola. While I still won't use one for the main game, I intend to catch one - which I have. It's so cute and it's chocolate-colored shiny is also very cute. I cannot wait to hunt this little cutie.

3. Noibat

Speaking of cute and Kalos, Noibat was another Pokémon that I wanted to catch but had a hard time encountering. In fact, its poor encounter rate was the reason that I never shiny hunted for it to begin with. Its shiny is a great color and I adore Noibat so much. I was thrilled when I found that this Pokémon is much, much easier to encounter in Alola. I will catch that shiny - but I will not evolve it since the evolution's shiny is pretty...ah...ugly, in my opinion. I'll keep Noibat as is, thank you.

2. Mantyke

Ever since the trailer was released that showed Mantine surfing, I knew that I wanted to catch a Mantyke. I have always adored Mantine's entire line and their shiny colorations are amazing. Sure, it's just a brighter blue, but I love it so much.

1. Amaura

The only fossils that I love more than Kabuto are Tirtouga, Tyrunt, and Amaura. However, only Amaura was exclusive to Ultra Moon. What can I say? Amaura's shiny is beautiful with its pale blue that is almost white. They took a gorgeous design and made it even better which is what a shiny coloration should do. I cannot wait to shiny hunt for this one!

Well, that's it for this post. I hope you can overlook my poor posting habits for the past couple of weeks and continue to enjoy my posts. Follow me so you don't miss out on future posts and leave a comment below telling me which Pokémon you want to shiny hunt the most in Ultra Sun and Moon. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Mimikyu Has a Powerful New Z-Move!

First, allow me to apologize for the lateness of this post. I got distracted and completely forgot to do this yesterday. Now, with that out of the way, allow me to address the Donphan in the room. I will not be mentioning any of the recent leaks in case some of you don't want to be spoiled. I also suggest that if you don't want to be spoiled on anything else about the game until you play it that you steer clear of YouTube or any other social sites. Anyway, with Ultra Sun and Moon just days a way, there is little left to speculate on so we'll just stick to the last released trailer. Oh, and in case you are wondering, the latest Corocoro leaks are out but they do not appear to be about USUM. I will mention them, anyway at the end of the post. If you want to see the trailer for yourself you can watch it here or the Japanese trailer here. Whew, that was a lot. Let's get to the good stuff!

I want to congratulate Game Freak on making the cutest and creepiest Z-Move that I have ever seen. Mimikyu's Z-Move is called Let's Snuggle Forever. Again, that is cute and creepy at the same time. It fits Mimikyu so well! The best part of the move is after Mimikyu covers its opponent with its cloth cover. It waits until its trainer gives it a thumb's up then beats up the opponent and promptly spits it out from under the cloth. A creepy build-up and a comic ending - it's probably my favorite Z-Move yet. According to the official website, Mimikium Z can be used with Play Rough, a powerful Fairy-type move. This means that this move is both fun and powerful. Again, I think it really fits Mimikyu. I can't wait to use it at least once just to see the animation.

Let's talk CoroCoro now. The only information out at the moment on Serebii.net is that there will be a new kind of Mythical Pokémon event. To get said Pokémon, you have to collect codes from merchandise in order to get a serial code to get the Mythical Pokémon. The Pokémon that you can get will be Manaphy, Meloetta, and Hoopa. The problem is, the number of codes required to get the serial codes are: 1, 7, and 16. I don't know about you, but that seems very uneven to me. I also don't like that I will have to buy stuff to get a Pokémon code that has always been free. I mean, you already spent 40 bucks on the game to use it in - why must you spend more for a special Pokémon that is unobtainable in any other way?! I hope the process is easier than it looks and this isn't going to stick around or those who can't afford it will be missing out.

Well, that's it for this post. I just want to say that since the week after this is Thanksgiving, I may not be able to post something next weekend. I'll try, but I want to apologize in advance if I can't. That being said, I can't wait to buy my copy of Pokémon Ultra Moon this Friday!! I am so excited!! Leave a comment below telling me what you thought of Mimikyu's new Z-Move and which game you will be getting: Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon. I can't wait to find out. If you liked this post, follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Have a great weekend and as always: keep on gaming!!

New Ultra Sun and Moon Trailer Reveals New Team and Lots of Legendaries

The new trailer is here and it might be my favorite trailer thus far. Before we get into the particulars you can watch it for yourself here or the Japanese trailer here. Now, let's get into the good stuff!

First of all, Giovanni has returned and he is not alone. This time, he has Team Rainbow Rocket. The team includes every team leader from Kanto to Kalos! I do mean all of the leaders: Giovanni, Maxie, Archie, Cyrus, Ghetsis, and Lysandre. That is amazing. Plus, Maxie and Archie look like they did in the original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald games. How is this possible? According to leaks on 4chan, Giovanni recruited team leaders from dimensions where they were victorious. The changed appearances of Maxie and Archie certainly seem to support this theory. At any rate, I love the appearances of these two and wish Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire had looked that good. I was never a fan of their updated looks. Anyway, neither Guzma nor Lusamine are shown in the English trailer so I wonder if they are part of Rainbow Rocket or not. A quick clip in the Japanese trailer shows Guzma holding back some Rainbow Rocket grunts so he is probably not part of the new team. Either way, I am already excited and terrified about facing Giovanni and his Mewtwo.

Next up in the Battle Agency. This is apparently a new take on the Battle Factory from past Gen 3 and 4 games. You can rent a powerful Pokémon then engage in one-on-one battles. Battling powerful characters gets you a reward of rare items. The items in question were not specified but it is assumed it would probably be things for breeding or competitive play. You character also gets a cool pair of shades to wear while battling. Okay...why? Also, do you choose which pair you will wear or is it based on your character? It's  not very clear.

Remember all the fun of collecting Zygarde cells? It's back - but this time it is Totem Stickers. Instead of a legendary, you get Totem-sized Pokémon for collecting stickers. Okay, again, great, I guess. But, is it any Pokémon of your choice or just the Totem Pokémon from the different trials?? It's not very clear on this subject either. What is clear is that Totem Lurantis is exclusive to Ultra Sun while Salazzle in exclusive to Ultra Moon.

Next, the Island Scan returns with some new Pokémon shown like Charmander and Greninja. I didn't use this feature last time this means very little to me. It's still cool, but I will probably not being using it. The last part is another big one: legendaries that you can encounter through worm holes in ultra space! They are: Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Ho-oh, Lugia, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Latios, Latias, Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Dialga, Palkia, Uxie, Mesprit, Azelf, Regigigas, Cresselia, Heatran, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Cobalion, Terrakion, Virizion, Tornadus, Thundurus, Landorus, Yveltal, Xerneas, and Zygarde. That is a lot of legendaries. Still, some of the best ones are missing but it is still a lot. Of course, there will be game exclusives and some legendaries will require the other two of their trio to appear but it is still amazing. It also seems to include mega evolutions, primal forms, and fusions (Unova dragons). I can't wait to catch 'em all!

Well, that's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you thought of this new trailer. Have a good weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Top 10 Ghost Type Pokemon - A Halloween Post

October is almost over and I am finally doing a Halloween-themed post. I know, it's late and before you ask, I am aware of the 'rainbow rocket' news but I didn't feel it was enough for a post. There will be a new trailer on the 2nd which I will discuss on the next post. Okay, let's get into it! Here is my list of the top ten Ghost type Pokémon. Please remember that this is all my opinion and if you don't agree - that's fine.

10. Mimikyu

I could not make a list without putting Mimikyu on it. From its need to be loved to its creepy Pikachu appearance, this Pokémon deserves a spot on this list.

9. Rotom

What's better than 1 Pokémon? How about 5? Rotom can take on 5 different forms depending upon which electronic device it interacts with. From an oven to a lawn mower, this Pokémon gives you lots of options. Strangely enough, when it takes one of these forms, it loses its Ghost typing. Isn't the interesting?

8. Froslass

From its haunting cry to its delicate form, this Pokémon definitely leaves a chilling impression. It's been one of my favorites since Gen 4 and I eagerly look forward to finding a female Snorunt so I can evolve it into this beautiful Pokémon. Now if only Dawn Stones were easier to find...

7. Chandelure

Ah, Gen 5, one of my favorites generations. Why? It brought us some interesting new Pokémon designs like this gothic chandelier. I adore this entire Pokémon evolution line and will happily use it whenever I get the chance.

6. Spiritomb

Who could forget the Ghost type used by Sinnoh's champion, Cynthia?? Spiritomb may have an odd way to be encountered but that doesn't make it any less powerful. Being both Dark and Ghost, it only has one weakness - Fairy type moves! Now if that isn't powerful, I don't know what is.

5. Pumpkaboo

This time of year always makes me think of Pumpkaboo with their pumpkin and bat inspired design. They are so cute and come in a range of sizes (just like real pumpkins). I particularly like that it gets a move called Trick-or-Treat. Combine that move with Ghostium or Lunalium Z and it gains an added effect of raising all stats. Not bad!

4. Gengar

I cannot have this list without the original Ghost/Poison type Pokémon of Gen 1 : Gengar. From his big smile to his dance, you know this Pokémon loves what he does. He's even happier in his Mega evolution form which is one of the few Megas that I like to use. My only issues are that he lost his Levitate ability and you have to trade it in order to evolve it. Either way, it's still a very powerful and fun Pokémon to use.

3. Trevenant

This is without a doubt one of my favorite designs for Ghost type Pokémon. Trevenant perfectly personifies a haunted tree. From its gnarled roots to its one red eye, it is both creepy and awesome at the same time. Again, this is a Pokémon with trade evolution but it is still pretty awesome.

2. Drifloon

This Pokémon is my favorite of the Gen 4 Ghost types. I used one while playing Diamond once and I fell in love with it. It's so cute plus is surprisingly powerful with its duel typing. I can see why Fantina uses and dresses like a Drifblim. It's amazing.

1.  Decidueye

Okay, I admit it. Rowlet is my favorite starter from Sun and Moon. Also, the entire line is one of the only 2 starter evolution lines in which I love every stage (the other being the Torchic line). Usually I only love the first and last stages - or just the first two stages in some cases. Anyway, the point is that I love Decidueye. I originally didn't think much of Decidueye until its typing was revealed. I was thrilled to see a starter that became a Ghost type. It made the design that much better. I loved using Decidueye in Moon and will probably use it in Ultra Sun or Moon as well. I can't help it - it's my favorite.

Well, that's it for this week. I'm sorry it took so long for this post but I've been busy this weekend.  Follow me if you enjoyed this post and don't want to miss out on further posts. Leave a comment below telling me your favorite Ghost type Pokémon. I hope you have a great weekend and a Happy Halloween! Oh, and as always, keep on gaming!

Latest Ultra Sun and Moon Trailer Promises Darker Game

It's no surprise that yet another trailer for Ultra Sun and Moon has been released. This trailer is short - barely a minute and half long - but it makes a lasting impression. Since the Japanese and English trailers are essentially the same this week, I will cover the English trailer only. You can view the trailers here (for English) and here (Japanese) before reading further, if you wish. Well, let's get into it!

First of all, this trailer is all about the plot. Through game snippets, we are a given a general idea of what the game is to be about. Professor Kukui mentions that Alola had dealt with and conquered a darkness long ago using light. His wife, Professor Burnet, tells us that worm holes are known to appear in Alola's sky on occasion in the rarest of circumstances. We then Phyco, a member of the Ultra Recon Squad, mention that Necrozma can manipulate light and will take Alola's light. We then see Necrozma appear from a wormhole and fight Lunala as light and darkness clashing repeatedly. We then are treated to clips of Ultra Beasts and Necrozma's Dusk Mane form.

The trailer continues with more quick clips of light and other characters. The trailer finally ends with Necrozma reaching out and taking the light. I think the light is meant to represent the sun or maybe one of the legendaries? It's not clear but the overall trailer combined with the amazing music gives us a dark, intense vision of Alola that can only be described as amazing. I am hoping that Ultra Sun and Moon live up to this hype with their story and gameplay. I am all for a darker Pokémon game and this one seems wonderfully dark compared to the first game.

There is one thing that I am curious about. Among the characters shown, there are Lusamine and Gladion. It reminded me of something Gladion tells you when you receive Type:Null from him in Pokémon Sun and Moon. He mentions that his father first discovered the worm holes then disappeared while experimenting on one. That's why Lusamine was bent on finding the way into Ultra Space. I wonder... will Gladion's father make an appearance in the new game?? It's hard to say. At any rate, I am so excited for the new games which will be out in less than a month. Sadly, I now highly doubt they will reveal any new Pokémon besides UBs so I guess I will have to start figuring out my new team for the next game. This may be a harder decision than I first thought.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on further posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of the latest trailers. Do you like the darker game theme or prefer the original Alolan vibe? I'd love to know what you think! Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

New Z-Moves and Rotom Dex Gets Some Love

Another trailer has dropped and as usual, it only adds to the hype. You can see the trailer here or the Japanese trailer here. This time it's all about the new Necrozma forms. First, we have Dusk Mane Necrozma which is Psychic/Steel type. This isn't surprising since Solgaleo is a Psychic/Steel type. This form of Necrozma also gets the ability Prism Armor just like normal Necrozma. It also has its own exclusive Z-Move: Searing Sunraze Smash. I'm not sure of the typing for this move but considering Solgaleo's signature move Sunsteel Strike is Steel type then I will guess that this Z-Move is also Steel type.

Next, we have Dawn Wings Necrozma which is Psychic/Ghost like Lunala and also has the ability Prism Armor. Like the other form, it has its own exclusive Z-Move, too: Menacing Moonraze Maelstrom. Boy, these new Z-Moves' names are quite a mouthful, huh? I'm not sure of the typing for this move but considering Lunala's signature move Moongeist Beam is Ghost type then I will guess that this Z-Move is also Ghost type. Both forms are shown using Necrozma's new move: Photon Geyser. I'm not sure what the typing is but I will guess it might be Psychic type.

Lastly, the Rotom Dex gets a little love. Now players can interact with Rotom Dex by responding to it. The more you interact, the friendlier it gets which leads to new features. First, we have the Rotom-Loto to get items. By items, it appears to mean what used to be called 'O-Powers' which can be a big help if you're hunting Pokémon or breeding. There were a few Rotom powers listed that I didn't recognize. I am eager to see what they can do. However, one in particular was explained: Rotom's new Z-Power. Basically, he can make it so you can 2 Z-Moves per battle. I don't know if this will be usable in competitive battling but in-game it could be very useful.

Well, that's all I have for this week. I apologize for the lateness but I was too busy yesterday. Anyway, I hope you liked this post and will Follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of the new trailers. Do you like the Z-Moves? Do you think it's a good idea to put more emphasis on interacting with the Rotom Dex? Tell me what you hope some of these Rotom powers do! Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

New Trailer - New UB - Same Old Excitement

Another trailer has dropped in English and Japanese and as usual, it has me hyped to play the upcoming games, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. I will give my overall thoughts pertaining to both trailers. You can view the Japanese trailer here and the English trailer here. Let's get into it!!

The Japanese trailer and English trailer have mostly the same stuff so I will talk about them as if they were one. The trailers both start out with footage of the main character riding Solgaleo and Lunala through an Ultra Wormhole. This confirms that there will be more exploration into the world of the Ultra Beasts. Then we are treated to footage of the different areas within this world. The jungle area in particular reminds me of a Mario Kart track. I can't wait to see what this world has to offer.

The next area is particularly intriguing: Ultra Megalopolis. This place appears to have limited light due to Necrozma taking the light away. I can only imagine how this will pertain to the story. I do like how the area reflects the design of Necrozma with its jagged black crystal shapes. I also wonder how many people are actually living in this world. Speaking of which, that brings us to our next point: the Ultra Recon Squad. Do they live in the Ultra Beast world or are they just studying it. Either way, they are the new evil team. In a Ruby/Sapphire twist, the members that you interact with depends upon which game you have. Dulse and Zossie are in Ultra Sun while Phyco and Soliera are in Ultra Moon.

The next reveal is thus far my favorite from this trailer: a new UB! This one is called UB Adhesive in English and UB Sticky in the Japanese trailer. I have to say that this is probably my favorite UB so far. It's so adorable! I can't wait to catch one. I also love that it's Poison type. That means it will be useful against Fairy types. Speaking of types, the type for UB Burst has been revealed to be Fire/Ghost. I can see the Ghost part- sort of- but I don't see where the Fire part comes from. I guess this is another example of why UBs are different from regular Pokémon. UB Assembly's type is Rock/Steel which is just what I was expecting. Lastly, UB Burst shows off its new move: Mind Blown. It seems very powerful but also very dangerous due to the massive amount of recoil damage that is taken when the move is used.

Well, that's it for this week. Overall, this trailer was really good and got me really excited for the new games. I hope you enjoyed the post as much I enjoyed writing it. If so, follow me so you won't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me your thoughts on the new trailers. Are you excited? Do you like UB Adhesive? Does UB Burst's typing make sense? I would love to know what you think! Have a good weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Top 5 GX Characters Wanted For Duel Links

If you play Duel Links, then you know that recently it was updated to include the world of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. I love this addition since it opens the doors for the addition of every other anime series. At least, all the series that have been dubbed, anyway. So far the only character I've unlocked is Jaden Yuki. I've gotten him up to level 12 and the GX world up to stage 3. As of this moment, I have not come across any new characters to unlock. That's okay, I can still contemplate which characters that I hope to see the most. For this top 5, I will leave out Chazz Princeton and Alexis Rhodes since their silhouettes were shown when the world was being accessed for the first time. This means they are practically guaranteed so I will not have those characters in my list. Let's get to it!

5. Bastion Misawa

Who better to start with than the smartest student at Duel Academy from Ra Yellow? I hope to see him in Duel Links so that I can use his Water Dragon. In fact, recent support for this card was released in the Legendary Duelists booster pack so it seems very possible.

4. Tyranno Hassleberry

It's another Ra Yellow student. He uses a dinosaur-themed deck (if you couldn't tell). His addition to Duel Links would include new dinosaur cards like Ultimate Tyranno. Maybe we could also get cards that were released in the new Dinosmasher's Fury structure deck.

3. Jesse Anderson

Introduced in season 3, Jesse is from North Academy. His deck is based on Crystal Beasts and would be amazing to see in Duel Links. I would be especially excited to see Rainbow Dragon. I have to yet to acquire this card in real life but would love to own a digital version.

2. Syrus Truesdale

How could you not want to see Jaden's best pal? He may start out as one of the worst duelists at the Academy but he improves as time goes on. I adore this character and his signature deck: the Vehicroids! Please, Konami, put this character and his cards in Duel Links! However, you can't mention Syrus without mentioning my top pick...

1. Zane Truesdale

That's right, the one character from GX that I want to see the most is Zane Truesdale. He is Syrus' older brother and the top student at Duel Academy. He is one of my favorite characters and his Cyber Dragons are amazing. However, I must clarify that I would prefer the normal Zane to the dark version that appeared after he hit a losing streak as a professional duelist. I just prefer regular Cyber cards to the Dark Cybers... however, I will take either one as long as it's Zane. Please don't limit Cyber Dragon to one, Konami, that's all I ask.

And that's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. How to follow me? Hit that Follow button up on the top right. Also, leave a comment telling me who you'd like to see in Duel Links from GX. By the way, I fixed the setting so that anyone can comment now and I apologize for not fixing it sooner. I honestly thought that I had set that ages ago. Anyway, have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

New Ultra Sun and Moon News - a Photo Club and Mantine Surfing?!

A new trailer has come out for Ultra Sun and Moon this past week. It isn't very long but it gives some more interesting information for us to ponder as the release dates looms ever near. Let's get right into it!

First of all, it confirms that the island trials will return aka still no gyms. This saddens me since I prefer gyms to the trials. Anyway, I am curious about the trials of Sophocles and Acerola since the clips shown seem to hint towards them being slightly different from the original trials. It appears that the Fairy trial captain, Mina, from Poni Island has also finally set up her own trial. However, she still has that weird streak of paint on her face and hair... why? It would drive me nuts to have paint in my hair all the time but that's apparently doesn't bother her one bit. I guess I could tolerate the paint on her if it wasn't so oddly done... is it supposed to be tribal or is she just so into her art that she doesn't notice when she's accidentally splashed paint on herself? Either way, I don't watch the anime so I guess I will never know.

Lily and Hau will be returning as your companions yet again. Lily is in her second outfit and Hau seems a bit more serious this time around. This means it either takes place later in the storyline (like B2W2) or it could just be an alternate retelling (Platinum). Speaking of changes, there will also be over 400 Pokémon to catch in Alola. This includes 2 exclusives: Houndoom for Ultra Sun and Manectric for Ultra Moon. I'm not particularly excited for either of these so I won't take them into consideration when I pick which game I want to purchase.

That mysterious multi-colored building with stars on it is the new Photo Club. It feels like they took parts of existing optional game activities and combined them. It still looks fun and I look forward to taking photos of my starter. However, the best part of the trailer comes after the Photo Club. Mantine Surfing looks awesome! You can surf between islands and apparently can do tricks on Mantine as well. Combine that with some of the best music yet and it looks like a blast! I can't wait to try it.

The Japanese trailer shows the same thing for the most part. It does show more available Pokémon like Dedenne which I want to catch so badly. I just hope it's easy to encounter. It shows the Photo Club with the female character. It also shows what appears to be a Totem Alolan Marowak. Another interesting point is footage of Hau running up to you with his Torracat at his side. Could this confirm that Pokémon will be able to walk with you? It's hard to say...

Finally, it shows images from a Japanese promotional poster. I find it interesting that Lily is show holding a Poké Ball since she wasn't a trainer in the first games. The poster also shows what appear to be the villains or evil team but the figures are shown in shadow and it is hard to tell for certain. Still, these 2 trailers have gotten me even more curious about Ultra Sun and Moon. I just hope there will be more new Pokémon than just the Necrozma forms and Dusk form Lycanroc.

Well, that does it for this week. I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much I enjoyed writing it. If you did, follow me by clicking that Follow button so you won't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you thought of the trailer(s). Will you use the Photo Club? Do you think the Mantine Surfing is awesome? Let me know! Have a good weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

New Ultra Sun and Moon Trailers Reveal Some Tasty Tidbits

It's finally happened - 2 new trailers have arrived at the same time as the CoroCoro leaks. Since the trailers repeat what was in the leaks, I will focus on them instead. The trailers in question were released on the Nintendo and Pokémon YouTube channels. I'll do my best to break it down. We'll start with the Pokémon channel trailer.

First of all, it reminds us that Necrozma will be the focus of the story this time around. The cover legendaries for the new games will be two forms of Necrozma after it captures and fuses with either Solgaleo or Lunala. The forms are called Dusk Mane Necrozma (Solgaleo) and Dawn Wings Necrozma (Lunala). They also are shown performing what appear to be signature moves. This remind you another fusion form (Black and White Kyurem)?

Next is shows an Ash Cap Pikachu being used in battle. What is the significance of that? Well, even though there is a distribution of Ash Cap Pikachus coming soon, the cap being worn by this Pikachu is not one of the regional variants. This cap if from the new movie and maybe this means there will be separate distribution for this particular Pikachu. This is followed by footage of new surfer area and the Pikachu area as well. The interesting thing to note here is that it shows the main character interacting with one of the Pikachus. Will this pertain to the story or is this a side quest thing?

Next is the Rockruff distribution for the new games. This explains that distributed Rockruffs will have the ability Own Tempo and will know either Fire Fang (Ultra Sun) or Thunder Fang (Ultra Moon). These special Rockruffs will evolve into Dusk Lycanrocs. According to the official site, it will be between 5 pm and 6 pm when the evolution can occur. Lycanroc also gets its own exclusive Z-Move called Splintered Stormshards. This move appears to also remove field terrains which could prove useful.

Lastly we have our new Ultra Beasts which are, of course, game exclusive: UB Assembly (Ultra Moon) and UB Burst (Ultra Sun). I don't know how I feel about these designs. UB Assembly is a stone tower with four legs. UB Burst is a rainbow jester with a polka-dotted Styrofoam ball as its head. Both are equally strange (which I'm sure is the point) but also equally unappealing. This comes as no surprise since there few UBs in the original game that I liked. Still, it gives me hope that there will be new Pokémon in the new games as well.

Let's move on to the Nintendo trailer. It shows basically the same stuff with a few exceptions. For instance, it shows the cutscene where an UB comes out of an Ultra Wormhole. The thing to notice is that the main character is actually wearing an appropriate expression not the generic creepy smile. This is a good sign that they fixed the issue of the main character not showing any emotion except for a few times.

Next, they show more of the surfing area. If you pause the video at the right moment you will see a Mantine in the water. It's wearing riding gear so maybe we will get to use Dive in this game. The other option is that we will get to ride it for a contest or side quest. There is also a banner above the surf boards with Mantine on it as well. I hope we get to at least surf on a surfboard. That would be very cool. The next tidbit shows Pikachu themed clothes that the character can wear which is nothing short of adorable. I really like the cap. I wonder what other new clothes will be available?

After some more clips that have been used in the original trailer, we see where the starters actually protects us from a Yungoos. This confirms that we meet the starters in a different way than in the original games. The starters acting tough is also super cute. The next interesting part is when they discuss the rewards for purchasing the future games. If you purchase either Pokémon Gold or Silver, you will get a code for Celebi that you can use in Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon.

It's not much (which seems to be the norm for these games) but it still gives us something which is hope. While this game is looking more like a cross between B2W2 and Platinum it also seems to have a few things that will make is unique or at the very least a new gaming experience. For now, we can only watch and wait for more information to come. Well, that does it for this week's post. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed watching it and will follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of the new trailers and which UB you like most. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Let's Fix 5 Shinies - Gen 1

As any Pokémon player knows, nothing is more exciting than finding (and hopefully catching) a shiny or alternately colored Pokémon. These Pokémon are rare and that should make their designs that much more amazing compared to their regular coloring. Unfortunately, some shiny Pokémon don't live up to the hype and that's a shame. I am starting a new series of posts where I pick 5 Pokémon in each generation (1 - 7) that I feel could have better a better shiny form. As always, I just manipulated some images from Bulbapedia and all rights belong to the images' respective owners. I am merely using this to show my ideas for better shinies. Without further ado, let's jump into it!

Butterfree

Go ahead and say it - 'how predictable, it's your favorite Pokémon'! I know, but that make its horrible shiny even more disappointing. In fact, Butterfree's shiny may be one of my least favorite shinies of all time. Its body color becomes more purple and its hands, feet, and nose turn a reddish pink. Its eyes become a bright neon green. It's pretty unappealing but I understand that at the time, shinies were made by palette swapping. Still, it could have been changed like so many other shinies in Generation 6. My shiny (as shown) is a bit different. I basically lightened the body to an almost pastel cornflower blue with light green feet, hands, and nose. The eyes I made a softer lavender. I did notice as I was saving the image that I was very close to the color palette that I used for my Alolan Butterfree idea. This wasn't intentional - I just like the color combination.

Spearow

Spearow is one of the Pokémon that you don't see that often. With better options like Pidgey and Farfetch'd available, there is little reason to catch a Spearow. Its shiny doesn't add to its appeal at all. It's a light olive color with golden beak, wings, and feet. Its belly becomes a light reddish color. It's quite unappealing and again, no change was made in Generation 6. In fact, the shiny looks worse in the Generation 6 3D model. I decided that I would show this Pokémon some love with a new palette. I found this dark gray to be the most appealing since bright colors don't really seem to fit this Pokémon well at all. Not only does this look better than the original color, it also stands out really well so that you immediately know that you've found something special when you encounter it.

Farfetch'd

This is another Pokémon that you don't see often. I adore Farfetch'd and feel it deserves a better shiny. The original body was that reddish pink color with a brighter yellow for the beak and feet. Even its leek got brighter in color which makes little sense considering that body coloration doesn't affect randomly held objects. Anyway, I opted for a nice dark blue that looks more realistic (like its original coloring) and not so bright. I think it works nicely and gives it a dapper appearance.

Krabby
Krabby is another rarely-seen Pokémon. Its shiny is also underwhelming. The brownish orange body turns yellow and that's it. It's not the worst shiny, but it is definitely not the best. Generation 6 only made the yellow paler which again isn't that bad. I feel it could be improved upon greatly and I love this color idea that I came up with based on the Blue Dungeness crab. I think this color is great and really catches your eye - again letting you know when you encounter it that it is special.

Chansey

The last shiny that I will fix is Chansey. Chansey is notorious for being hard to find and even harder to catch in the original games. You would think that its shiny would be equally amazing but no...it's just a light green that makes Chansey look ill. In Generation 6, the green was darkened to make it look even more ill. Again, it's not the worst shiny but it could use improvement. I was playing around with the color and discovered this golden yolk color. I think it fits Chansey's happy personality while also giving a nod to the 'egg' influence in its design. I don't usually like yellow shinies but I do like this one a lot.

Well, that does it for this post. I hope you enjoyed this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of my shinies, which shinies you want think could be changed and how you would change them. Have a great weekend and stay safe during all this bad weather. Keep those impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma in your thoughts and as always, keep on gaming!!

Top 5 Best and Worst Parts of the Set Sail for the Kingdom Duel Links Event

First of all, I am very sorry for the lateness of this post. I have not been feeling well plus I was too busy to get to my computer yesterday. I still wanted to post something so here it is: my top 5 best and worst parts of the 'Set Sail for the Kingdom' event in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel links.

Best:
5) It's different than other events

Most events follow this pattern: collect event items by dueling then spend items dueling against event exclusive character to win points for prizes. This event is different. Well, you do still have to duel to collect event items or dice in this case. However, this time the items are used to traverse a game board where you can collect items, duel characters, or 'read' chapters from the Duelist Kingdom story arc. I find this change refreshing and yet familiar (Destiny Board Traveler, anyone?). There are ten rounds of this event with 5 'zones' or boards per round.

4) Card Lottery

Of all the ways to get cards, this has to be one of my favorites. You earn Millennium coins as you travel around the game board then pay them in increments of 30 in order to hopefully draw cards. You can also draw other things like coins and gems. The more coins you have, the more you can 'draw' at the time.

3) References original anime Duelist Kingdom Arc

I am a huge fan of the original dubbed anime and this is such a nostalgia rush for me. I hope they do more events like this for Battle City or Waking the Dragons.

2) Kuriboh is unlockable/winnable

I have been waiting for this card for what seems like forever. Kuriboh is one of my favorite cards and has been around in the TCG since its release in the Metal Raiders booster set. I don't know why it wasn't in Duel Links up to this point but I am glad that it is in there now. Now if only Winged Kuriboh were available...

1) You unlock Yugi

Of all of the recently unlockable characters, I think this is the one that I wanted the most. Now I have to figure out a strategy around Gandora, the Dragon of Destruction....

Worst:
5) Card Lottery

I love the Card Lottery, really, but I am finding the odds of getting the card that I want to be a bit high. Even if I draw ten at once, I still am having trouble getting cards that I want (mostly of the higher rarity). Still, it's minor so that's why its at the bottom of the list.

4) 7 dice pieces = 1 roll?!

This I do not understand. A standard die has 6 sides because it is a cube. Why does it take 7 pieces to equal a roll of a die?! I really don't understand it. It's a minor irritant, but it is irritating after all.

3) Stop space mandatory story text

Certain spaces are designated with a 'STOP' and a character that you have to beat in order to move on. However, because its part of the Duelist Kingdom story arc, they is a lot of text to read through before you get to your duel selection screen. My issue is that I will realize that I have the wrong deck selected and therefore have to back out of the event, change decks, then go back in. Upon doing so, I have to re-read through all of that text again. There is a speed-up button, but it still takes a long time. Worse still, if you lose, you have to read the text all over again before choosing to duel. If you get stuck on a duelist, this could take a considerable amount of time. I wish you could just read the text once and never again (unless in a new round).

2) Stop space defeat conditions

Here is issue #2 with the stop spaces: you can't move forward until you win. Other duelist spaces let you move on regardless of win or lose, but not stop spaces. This gets annoying especially on stop spaces at the end of the board or zone.

1) Stop space re-rolls

Here is issue #3 with the stop spaces: if you lose, you are sent back one space. This means you have to roll the die again just to hit the stop space again so you can try again to beat the duelist. It's frustrating to waste die rolls just to get to a space that you have already hit again and again.

Well, that's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed this post and will Follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Have a great Labor Day Weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

It's a DuckTales Re-view!!

Yes, you read the post title correctly. This review will be specifically about the new DuckTales reboot. When they first announced the reboot of the classic show, I was not excited. I just wondered how they were going to ruin one of my favorite childhood cartoons. Still, out of curiosity, I did watch one of the first teasers. It didn't change my opinion. Some time passed and a week ago, I was skimming through YouTube when I found the first episode of the new reboot. I was amazed that they had released the first episode already. At first, I shrugged and moved on but my curiosity got the better of me. I finally gave in and decided to watch it. The result? I'll break down my analysis in 3 parts: theme song, characters, and story. If you'd rather see it for yourself, you can find it on Disney XD's YouTube channel. Let's begin.

Theme Song
I know you're all wondering - is the theme song as catchy and fun as the original? Believe it or not, it is. The song has been modernized a little and the animation is clearly different but it is still the theme song we all know and love. It's both unique and a great tribute to the original.

Characters
This is where things get interesting. Without spoiling too much, not all of the original characters were in the episode. Scrooge was there, and the boys (Huey, Dewey, and Louie) as well as Donald Duck. As far as Scrooge goes, he is basically the same - grumpy, greedy, and adventurous yet with a soft spot for his family. The boys are a different story. In the original, I could never tell them apart. They looked and sounded the same with the only difference being their clothing color. The clothing color is still there, but all 3 boys have unique looks, personalities, and voices. This is a great improvement over the original. Webby is also different - she's an adventuring tomboy who is socially awkward since her grandmother, Mrs. Beakley, is super protective. Speaking of Beakley, I am not a fan of her design. They basically took out every ounce of femininity from her design and made her younger. The design has more in common with the maid in Count Duckula (kudos if you remember that) than the original Mrs. Beakley. Let's not forget the villain. Flintheart Glomgold, Scrooge's sworn enemy, is present as well. His character is the same - but they did make him shorter and rounder. Launchpad McQuack is also there and I have to say that he is also the same aside from modernized clothing. He's still crashing planes and that is fine with me. The only voice that is the same is Donald - but that's totally understandable since its been 30 years since the original show was aired. If you want to know more about the characters and cast, you can look here.

Story
Here's the best part. If you don't want any spoilers, skip to the concluding paragraph. Overall, the story appears to the be the same (solving mysteries, rewriting history) though it does remind me a lot of Gravity Falls and that's a good thing since that show had great writing. The animation wasn't so great, but the writing was phenomenal. The big change here is that Donald is not going to the Navy. Donald will be with the boys on all of their adventures. I love this change. The best episodes of the original show included Donald. There is also another interesting new twist: they are going to explain the boys' parents!! This is the part that got me the most excited and reminded me most of Gravity Falls. Aside from that, this looks like a great modernizing of the original story with some extra character development included.

In conclusion, I loved it. I admit it - I was one of the biggest critics of this show and I enjoyed it. I even began looking up when the next episodes would be out. I've even begun watching episodes of the original show to compare. I can honestly say that I still love the original more -but the new show is its own kind of fun. I can't wait for more episodes and hope that the writing stays as good as it was for the first episode. I recommend that you watch it whether new to the series or an old fan. Trust me, it's great! It'll have you cheering 'woo-oo!!'

That does it for this week's post. I hope you enjoyed it and will follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me if you have seen the new reboot and what you think of it. Does it compare to the original? I look forward to reading your comments. Have a good weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!!

Two Small Ultra Sun and Moon Trailers Give Big News

It's finally happened! We have finally gotten some official Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon news in not 1 but 2 new trailers. The trailers are both here and less than a minute in length. However, there is a lot that we can gleam from these trailers. I'll start with the one about the game then talk about the one which is only about a new Z-Move. Let's get started!

Okay, first of all, clearly the starters are the same ones from Sun and Moon. However, it appears that we get to meet them in a new way. This is promising. Next we have 2 seconds of footage showing the male main character running around with a Rockruff. Some believe this means that Pokémon can follow you again like in Gold and Silver. I don't think so. This reminds me of a side quest in Black2/White2. In Humilau City, there was a woman that wanted you to walk her Mienfoo. You had to walk around in front of her with the Mienfoo until she was satisfied then rewarded you with a pearl. This is possibly what is happening in the footage - it's another 'walk my Pokémon' side quest. I could be wrong but only time and more information will tell.

Next is a gorgeous quick peek at a new green area. Is it a trial area? A cave? I can't say for sure. The Asian influence does suggest Ula Ula island, though, since it matches the style of the main city from that island. It's still beautiful, though. Then we see Alolan Exeggutors on their island doing a silly dance. This is followed by footage of the Flying type Elite Four member, Kahili. Maybe we'll learn more about her this time around. The next piece is what I find most interesting. It is footage of the character Ryuki, who was previously only seen in post game if you defended your champion title against him. He says that he is a star and the area he is in is reminiscent of Lt. Surge's gym from Kanto. Does this mean we go to Kanto? I doubt it. I'll explain my suspicions in a moment.

We then see an Alolan Vulpix in an Aether Paradise van or lab so clearly that team will be returning in the game. Next, comes footage of a colorful building that I think can possibly explain why Ryuki is in Alola. The red and blue building has stars outside of it and what appears to be a camera is in one of the windows. This can mean one of two things. The least likely of the two is that this is a place where you can film a PR video of yourself like in Kalos. If this is so, does that mean the PSS system is coming back?? I find it doubtful for now. The better idea is that this building is an extension of Pokéstar Studios from Unova. Again, remember Black2/White2? You had to film a video against a movie star, Brycen, as part of the story? I think this is another version of that. As far as the Lt. Surge gym area goes - it is either the set for the movie that you have to film or perhaps an homage to Kanto in general. Either way, I highly doubt we are going to Kanto in the new games.

We are once again teased with possible plot and shown a map of the region. Everything appears to be the same from the previous games with the exception of a open vortex above Poni island. Maybe more will be learned about the Ultra Beasts and their home. And of course, they show what the hero characters will look like at the start of the adventure. I like the girl's outfit okay but the boy's is much better. I do, however, love the girl's hat. It is an improvement over the previous game's starting hat. Next, there is another bit about the Dusk form along with typing, ability, and learnable moves. This is not new and should have been a separate trailer ages ago. It is Rock type, has the ability Tough Claws, and can learn both Accelerock and Counter (moves previously exclusive to the other two forms). As we guessed, only certain Rockruff will be able to evolve into this form. They still didn't explain any further though. Finally, it showed cover art and if you look closely between the logos - a new Pokémon.

This intrigues me. I looked on the official site here for more info. It just repeats what was in the trailer without any extra details. However, upon studying the image, I do have a theory about that new Pokémon. If you look closely, (I had to zoom to 200%) you can see it has one blue eye and one red eye. Here's my theory: that Pokémon is Solgaleo, Lunala, and Necrozma fused together. Solgaleo has blue eyes and Lunala has red eyes. Necrozma has a star-shaped hole in the back of its head. Again, think of Black2/White2. Necrozma is Alola's Kyurem! Think about it - one Pokémon split apart leaving an empty shell - Necrozma and 2 parts: Solgaleo and Lunala. Both of the previous exclusive legends are used and if only one fuses with Necrozma it makes a unique Pokémon which is the new exclusive legendary like White and Black Kyurem. It seems this time, unlike in Unova, we will get to see the original Pokémon with all 3 parts included. Still, this appears to be Black2/White2 all over again. All we're missing is a power-hungry parental figure bent on using an evil team to achieve their goals while controlling a naïve child who wants to help Pokémon- oh wait....

The Japanese version of first trailer (here) is the same info except for the new Z-Power Ring. According to the official site, we will be able to do more than one Z-Move at a time. That would be helpful. Speaking of Z-Moves, it's time to discuss that second trailer. Kommo-o is getting its own exclusive Z-Move: Clangorous Soulblaze. First of all, that name is a mouthful and doesn't roll of the tongue that well. Second of all, this move is for Clanging Scales which originally caused Kommo-o's defense to be dropped after using it. Now it hits all opposing Pokémon (if in a multi-battle) and boosts ALL stats. This move is broken! I love it and its beautiful animation!

Well that's all for now. It feels good to have actual news to blog about. I hope you enjoyed this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on further posts. Leave a comment below telling me your thoughts on our latest tidbits of Ultra Sun and Moon news. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

More Ultra Sun and Moon News and Fewer Answers

CoroCoro has come out and it just repeats the information about Dusk form Lycanroc. It does confirm, however, that this form will be available after a special distribution of Rockruff after the new games are released. Aside from that, it doesn't give much except for the type: Rock. That's okay. I'm sure we'll get a trailer at some point- oh look, the Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel has posted a trailer. And it just repeats the Dusk form reveal... so to recap: we've had 3 pieces of official news and they all say the same thing. Well, at least the trailer can give us something to study. I will give my thoughts on that instead of repeating the same information again.

Okay, first of all, the HP bars seemed to have been redesigned. I don't think I like it. I prefer the original Sun/Moon design with the bright splash of color behind it. Still, this is minor so it's okay. The battle background is vibrant and colorful which is just like the gameplay shown in the initial reveal trailer. The wild battle music is awesome - a much more upbeat version of the original. This change I definitely like. Aside from that, there isn't really much to go on. Please keep in mind that this trailer is in Japanese and that as I am writing this, there isn't an English trailer out yet. If you want to see the Japanese trailer, you can see it here.

As you can see, it's not much. Hopefully, we'll get an English trailer soon but I don't want to post on the same news again so I probably won't post on it (unless there is something new in it to discuss). Speaking of discussion, some new 'leaks' have been circulating and I want to discuss those too. First is Alolan Piloswine and Swinub. You can see the images here if you like. I hate to link to Twitter but it was the best link that I could find for the image. I don't think this is legit but I do like the idea. Alolan Swinub is adorable and Alolan Piloswine looks like a pineapple which is hilarious. Again, I doubt this is legit but it still feels like a good subject for discussion. I guess they are supposed to be Grass type instead of Ice type? I wonder what Mamoswine would look like... probably as goofy as Piloswine.

The other leak is about a possible Mimikyu form. You can see the leak here. This leak holds more weight but let me explain first. I say it has weight because of the initial reveal trailer for the new games. Among the quick bits of animation, there is animation of Mimikyu and it looks like you can see its eyes. This means there is a possibility of finally getting a new Mimikyu form. However, I don't think this leak is legit and that if we get a new form, it will not be Mimikyu's true appearance. If you read its Pokédex entries, you would know that seeing its true form would kill you. So, I think Mimikyu is just going to get a new 'disguise'. If not, then the animation I am referencing is possibly a Z-move animation. Anyway, I do hope for a Mimikyu disguise change - there are literally thousands of options. Imagine a Caterpie Mimikyu or a Squirtle Mimikyu. It would be awesome. As long as Mimikyu gets some sort of love, I will be happy.

Okay, that's all I have for now. Again, aside from the Dusk form Lycanroc, the rest is probably very fake but no less noteworthy. If anything, they give great ideas to consider and discuss until we get some actual news. What do you think of all of this? Leave a comment below telling me your thoughts on the official news and the leaks. Do you like it? Do you want it? Do these seem fake or legit? Did I miss anything? Either way, we can only wait until Game Freak decides to release more information. Anyway, I hope you have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

New Lycanroc Form Revealed!!!

I am sorry that this post is so late but I wanted to report on the news after some official information was confirmed. Late last night (early in the morning in Japan) there was some news revealed for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Thankfully, the official site put out the information afterwards in English. You can read the official site news here if you wish before reading further.

Here it is: a new Lycanroc form has been revealed! We already have Midday and Midnight forms and now we have the Dusk form. It is basically Midday form in bright orange with green eyes and it has the white fur of the Midnight form on its back. They even showed that it will be in the anime too. As far as the design goes, I like it more than Midnight form but less than Midday form.

Overall, I was considerably disappointed in the reveal. I love the new Pokémon, but I was expecting so much more after the long period of no news since the actual game reveal trailers. Anyway, I will take what I can get. This reveal actually leaves more questions than answers. How do you evolve Rockruff to get this Pokémon? The official site that I linked above doesn't specify. I'll bet that it will require evolving at a specific time (dusk, obviously) in the game. This brings up a new thought: the first two forms were game exclusive. Will this form also be game exclusive? Does that mean we will also get a Dawn form for the other game? That would be great. Or.... is that the only evolution that Rockruff can have in the new games? The official page says both games so it's anybody's guess. This brings us to my last thought: when Rockruff was revealed, it was teased that it had a mysterious connection to the starters. That was never really explained. What if the starters also have alternate evolutions? Now this has tons of potential. I hope that is the case but for now its all just hopeful speculation.

Well, that's all I have for now. I hope you enjoyed this post and will Follow me so you don't miss out on further posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of this news. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Top Ten Yu-Gi-Oh! Characters That Deserve a Mega-Tin

I would like to apologize for the lateness of this post. I was very busy today and just now was able to get to my PC. Anyway, when I was reading about the latest Mega-Tins on the official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG website, I realized that Yugi and Kaiba are the only characters that have been on multiple full-size tin sets. Some have been on tin sets (Yusei Fudo, Jack Atlas, Leo & Luna, Crow Hogan, etc) but only for one set. So, I thought to myself, 'what other characters should be on Mega-Tins'? I say Mega-Tins because I don't think regular tins will be coming back (or so the trend suggests). So, here is my list of the Top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh! Characters that Deserve a Mega-Tin.

10. Jaden Yuki

From the GX series, this happy-go-lucky hero would be quite at home on a Mega-Tin. In fact, an awesome Elemental Hero fusion would make the perfect backdrop. I can't decide upon which hero I would like but any of them would do - except for Neos (he's had a tin set already).

9. Yuya Sakaki

Another series hero - this time from Arc-V, Yuya was meant to take center stage. I think an awesome Performapal card could be his backdrop like Performapal Five-Rainbow Magician.

8. Zuzu Boyle

How could I forget Zuzu Boyle. She and her beautiful Melodious cards steal the show when she is in a duel. She would make a great Mega-Tin cover with Schuberta the Melodious Maestra as her backdrop.

7. Akiza Izinski

The beautiful psychic duelist from 5Ds would make a great Mega-Tin cover. Her backdrop could be one of her Synchro monsters (other than Black Rose Dragon since it has been used before). I'm thinking Splendid Rose would do nicely.

6. Carly Carmine

Another duelist from 5Ds, this one would be in her Dark Signer form. Any of the Fortune Ladies would make a perfect backdrop for Carly.

5. Zane Truesdale

Who could forget the Cyber Dragon duelist from GX? His deck dominated (before and after his losing streak) the duels and his cards were amazing. I think a Cyber Dragon fusion like Chimeratech Overdragon could make a great backdrop for this awesome duelist.

4. Shark Kastle

My favorite character from Zexal is definitely Shark. His deck and his attitude have lots of bite. Any of his shark cards could work as a backdrop or even Number 73: Abyss Splash. We were meant to get English duelist packs based on him and the following duelist but it didn't happen. Why not a Mega-Tin instead?

3. Rio Kastle

My second favorite character from Zexal is the little sister of my favorite character who also was supposed to have a duelist pack in English but it didn't happen. Her deck reflects her cool demeanor and sharp wit. I would love to see one of her XYZ monsters like Ice Beast Zerofyne or Number 94: Crystalzero as her backdrop. Again, this would make up for not getting the duelist packs that we really should have gotten.

2. Mai Valentine

The original lady duelist is no stranger to the spotlight. Her Harpies and Amazons are more than capable of bringing her victory. I can see her with Amazoness Swords Woman or Harpie's Pet Dragon as her backdrop.

1.  Yami Bakura

The only thing better than a good hero is a great villain. Yami Bakura was the best part of the series since he was the only villain that lasted until the end. His cunning and patience combined with his style and charm make him very dangerous. His backdrop would have to be Dark Necrofear - elegant yet creepy.

And there you have it. I hope you enjoyed this post and will Follow Me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me which characters you think deserve to have a Mega-Tin. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

First Ultra Sun and Moon Leaks - Sort of

Well, I can definitely say that this is the longest we've gone without any games news since the teaser reveal for Ultra Sun and Moon. Even CoroCoro has been lacking in new info on the games. I expected at least something by now... anyway, after scouring the Internet, I did find this on 4chan. While I am hesitant to talk about it, it does give us something to think about so it works for now. Hopefully, GameFreak will give us something soon.

Okay, I broke the 'leaks' down to the basic pieces that I want to focus on/talk about. Here we go!

1. Lillie/Gladion role reversal

While I don't want to get my hopes up on any of these rumors, I do like this idea a lot. It would be nice to see Gladion as the timid, fragile sibling with Nebby while Lillie is much darker and aggressive. I would love to see this idea for an alternate timeline for Sun/Moon.

2. Hau as a Psychic type trial captain

If Hau isn't our friendly rival, does that mean a character that was previously a trial captain will be our rival like Lana or Hapu? Or will they introduce a different character altogether?? Or will we just not have a friendly rival at all? This would be fine. I prefer rivals like Blue, Silver, and Gladion anyway.

3. Mimikyu Horror Form
Okay, this seems really creepy and awesome at the same time. It basically means that we will get to see what Mimikyu looks like under its disguise. This is another idea that I would like very much. I want to know what Mimikyu really looks like and this would be a great way to showcase it.

4. Male Salazzle

Okay, this is a great idea. I have always despised evolutions that only happen to one gender (like Vespiquen can only be female). If they come up with an evolution for the male Salandit, I would be interested in seeing it. Now if only male Combees could evolve...

5. Alolan Qwilfish (Steel/Poison)

Believe it or now, this kind of makes sense to me. Qwilfish already looks like a floating mine so making it even more like a mine would work (and be hysterical). A metallic Qwilfish just seems so ridiculous and amazing when I imagine it.

6. Alolan Snubbull & Granbull (Ground & Ground/Fighting)

Ground typing? I don't know if I agree with this typing but I do like the Alolan idea (it was on my top Alolan form hopes list too). I just don't see where Ground typing comes from...and what happened to its Fairy typing?? I don't see this typing happening but the Alolan forms are a possibility. Please let this one happen!

7. Alolan Slugma (Ice)

An ice type Slugma.... maybe that could work. I mean, Vulpix was made into an ice type so it could happen. However, its own Pokédex entries state that magma is its blood and getting cold would probably kill it. This is interesting but not the most exciting of Alolan forms.

8. Z-ability

Certain Pokémon can have their abilities buffed with certain crystals. Eh, I hope this isn't a thing. I would rather have more mega evolutions. Z-ability just sounds like another way to buff already powerful Pokémon (aka starters and pseudo legendaries). I think they have had enough buffing by now.

Again, all of these are just rumors and we won't know if any of them are legit. To see this information for yourself, you can go here. I say take it with a grain of salt. This is great for contemplating what is to come but probably won't happen. Some ideas were great and others not so much. We can only wait until Game Freak releases some sort of news or trailer to tell us more. I hope you enjoyed this post and will follow me so you don't miss out on further posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you think of these rumors down below. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Top 5 Shiny Pokemon Event Wish List

Hello, all! I apologize for the lateness of this post. I have been dealing with computer issues since the end of last week. >:( Still, that doesn't stop me from enjoying the Shiny Tapu Koko event that started this weekend! As I admired my new shiny, I began to wonder about the other shiny locked Pokémon that have yet to be released in an event. So, without further ado, here is my Top 5 Shiny Pokémon Event Wish List.

5. Meloetta

Meloetta is my favorite 5th generation legendary. I was so glad to get her in the anniversary event that happened years ago. Still, a shiny form is not obtainable. I would love a chance to get this shiny but I think they already did an event for it years ago. Since the odds of it happening again are slim, it's at the end of the list.

4. Magearna original color

I am not a fan of  Magearna's shiny... I honestly can't even tell you what has been changed even when I am looking at the side by side images on serebii.net. However, the shiny of her original color is much better. The black looks so good on her and it is a real shame we can't acquire this shiny through a form change or event. Maybe we'll get an event in the future.

3. Tapu Fini

While I want all of the Tapus, Tapu Fini is the one I want the most. She is my favorite Tapu of the bunch and my favorite shiny Tapu as well. The black just looks so good with all the white and light blue accents. Hopefully, this will happen since shiny Tapu Koko was recently released.

2. Primal Kyogre

I am the first to admit that I don't like Kyogre's shiny. It's one of those unfortunate pink shinies that just looks....horrible. Shiny Primal Kyogre is a different story - it looks AMAZING! The black with rainbow touches just fix an otherwise hideous shiny. I know Kyogre has had events in the past but for someone like me who didn't get a 3DS until X and Y then didn't buy ORAS, it would be nice if they did another event. Maybe we'll get it some day - I hope.

1. Zygarde

When Xerneas and Yveltal were released in a shiny event, I was excited. I eagerly awaited the Zygarde event that would accompany this two. Imagine my disappointment when the Zygarde event happened without it being shiny. I don't understand why Game Freak didn't release its shiny since a normal colored one is catchable in game for X and Y. I am still baffled but hope that with Zygarde's new forms, maybe we'll get a shiny Zygarde event for Sun and Moon or Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. We can only hope.

Well that does it for this week. Hopefully, my computer issues will be resolved by next week so things can get back on schedule. What shinies do you want to see released? Leave a comment below telling me your wish list. I hope you enjoyed this post and will Follow me so you don't miss out on further posts. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions - A DVD Review

I hope everyone had a great week and 4th of July (if you celebrate it). Speaking of celebrations, today's review is on a movie that celebrates one of my favorite anime shows: Yu-Gi-Oh! I cannot tell you how many hours I've spent watching this show and buying cards that I saw being used by the characters. I still buy cards and watch the latest show (Arc-V) but not as often as I'd like. Still, when I heard this movie was coming out on DVD, I was very excited to get it. It wasn't shown in theaters near me so I had to wait until a DVD release to be able to see it. How did it hold up? Let's take a look at Yu-Gi-Oh! The Dark Side of Dimensions.

I don't want to give away much so we'll keep is simple. The basic storyline is all about what happens after the Pharaoh's spirit moved on. Strangely enough, the main focus is on Kaiba and not Yugi. Without giving anything away, the movie is great. The animation is amazing and a little different from the original anime. You can definitely tell its based on a manga story since there is little or no censoring (e.g. they show a gun) as far as I can tell. Some characters look a bit different but they are still identifiable.

Speaking of the characters, I am happy to say that most of the voice actors are the same as the anime. The only one that is definitely not the same is Grandpa Moto but his voice actor does a very good job so it's not that bad. This movie was very nostalgia and at times, made me feel a little sad. Again, I won't spoil anything but it definitely puts you in the "feels". I can honestly say it is also the longest Yu-Gi-Oh! movie which is great since the last one was too short. The story is clearly the focus of the movie so there is less emphasis on the dueling. This actually works quite well and again, shows that this is based off of a manga story opposed to a strictly anime story. There is even a few flashbacks that are different than in the anime because they occurred differently in the manga.

Other than that, this movie was just wonderful. If you have ever been a fan of this original anime then you definitely need to see this movie. It hits all the notes of a new story and a nostalgic rush at the same time. It's beautiful and action-packed. Check it out! Anyway, that's it for this week. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed writing it. Follow me so you won't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you thought of the movie (if you've seen it) or your favorite moment from the anime. Have a great weekend and as always, keep on gaming!!

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales - A Movie Review

I just got back from the theater and wow... this movie was a surprise. Before I get ahead of myself, let's start at the beginning. This is a review of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. I originally didn't even want to see this movie, but I am glad that I did. Where to begin...how about the story?

The story is pretty straightforward - Jack Sparrow is back and trying to escape another group of undead pirates. Believe it or not, this actually works quite well. While the last couple of movies weren't the best, this movie was much more like the original movie. It embraced the fun from the first movie with fights, beautiful undead CGI pirates and a curse that needs to be broken. I won't give away any more than that, though. Jack is just as wonderfully odd and goofy as ever. There were familiar faces from the other movies and some new characters as well.

One of my favorite things was how the undead pirates were animated like they were floating in water. That was not only cool to look at but pretty convincing. Another thing was the story itself. It wasn't depressing like Pirates of the Caribbean 3 or Jack Sparrow just on camera all the time like in the fourth movie. I did like the villain in that one but the rest was just...okay. This is the first Pirates movie that I have really enjoyed since the first sequel. Like I said before, I didn't want to see this one at first...but it was really good. I think it perfectly captured what made the franchise so enjoyable in the first place without being too focused on Jack Sparrow.

Overall, I highly recommend this movie and hope that if they do make another sequel, it will be just as fun as this one. Other than that, it was a swashbuckling good time and you should definitely check it out. I hope you enjoyed this post and will Follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what you thought of the movie (if you saw it) or any of the Pirates movies in general. Have a great weekend and as always: keep on gaming!!

Top Ten Alolan Form Hopes for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon

We still don't know much about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon but that doesn't keep us from wondering what new Pokémon we will get. This post will focus specifically on Alolan forms that I hope to see in the upcoming games. Once again I started with a base image and manipulated it in Pixlr.com's editor since my own artistic skills aren't so great. You can use my images as long as you give credit to me - KelleyG. Without further ado, let's take a look at my top ten Alolan form hopes for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Alolan Mantine image

10. Alolan Mantine - Water
I know, this isn't a Kanto Pokémon. I decided to include this in my Alolan form list because I thought it would be fun to explore more Alolan forms for Johto Pokémon. Plus, most of the Kanto Pokémon have received either pre/post evolutions, Alolan forms already, or Mega Evolutions. My reason for choosing Mantine is that I think it would flourish wonderfully in the tropical waters of Alola. It would drop it's Flying typing and adopt some brighter coloring.

9. Alolan Hoothoot - Psychic/Flying
I had 2 different ideas for this Pokémon but ultimately chose the Psychic variation for this list. I like how I made it look like it's about to use a Psychic attack. I chose the Psychic typing because Hoothoot learns a lot of good Psychic type moves as it levels up. This type change would add more power to the moves.

8. Alolan Snubbull - Dark/Fairy
One of the first things I enjoyed seeing in the Sun and Moon demo was the figurine of the Granbull in the Police Station. I decided to base my design upon that figurine. Alolan Snubbulls are tougher and they acquired the Dark typing. They're fierce and loyal to the end so it's no wonder their evolution is the mascot of the Police in Alola.

7. Alolan Sunflora - Grass/Fire
First of all, I just realized that I cut off the top of Sunflora's topmost petal when I was working on it and fixed it. That's why the top petal tip looks a bit off. Anyway, I chose Sunflora because everyone appears to hate this Pokémon. How can you hate something so happy?? Anyway, Alola's environment would boost Sunflora's colors and its stats so it would be much stronger. It would also acquire the Fire typing plus an ability called Sun Shower. Think of it as a combination of Sunny Day and Water Absorb but for Fire instead of Water. Plus, it would weaken Ice and Fire type moves.

6. Alolan Furret - Ice
I think Furret is so cute and overlooked. Since Yungoos and Alolan Rattatas are so fierce, Furrets retreated to the icy peak of Mount Lanakila. They became ice types with white and blue coats for camouflage. I just love this one so much. It's adorable.

5. Alolan Wigglytuff - Dark/Fairy
This is another Dark/Fairy idea. This time Wigglytuff gets a type change and becomes dark colored because of it. It also becomes darker in mood too. I love the expression that I gave this one... it's sort of a moody Goth version of it's Kanto counterpart. I wanted to make the gray darker but the color replacement tool wasn't being very forgiving.

4. Alolan Staryu - Water/Ground
I had so many ideas for this Pokémon's Alolan form. I made 3 different images and had to decide among which to use. My ideas were based on Staryu's evolution in reaction to all of the predator Pokémon that live in Alola's waters. I decided to with the defensive evolution. It would lose it's jewel and adapt a color that would let it blend in with the sand on the ocean floor. It would become flatter and much more defensive in stats. It would also become slower.

3. Alolan Growlithe - Water
Remember all those Sun and Moon leaks that turned out false? Of all of those rumors, 2 in particular were the ones that I wanted the most. One of them was the Water type Alolan Growlithe. I was so excited for this and so disappointed when it didn't happen. Maybe it will happen in Ultra Sun and Moon. Come on, let's have a blue Growlithe!!

2. Alolan Butterfree - Bug/Psychic
This is the Alolan form that I wanted the most and I still can't believe it didn't happen. I decided to go the Bug/Psychic route this time since Butterfree can learn Psychic by TM and Confusion by level up. Butterfree seems to be one of the snubbed Kanto Pokémon that hasn't gotten a single new pre/post evolution, Alolan Form, or Mega Evolution. Maybe this time Butterfree will finally get some attention. Oh and it's antennae aren't fuzzy - that's its Psychic powers glowing.

1. Alolan Arbok - Poison/Ground
Yes, it's back again. I still have not gotten over what I call the 't-shirt tease' of the Alolan Arbok. I feel like I am still the only person who noticed this Cobra Tank in the Heahea City Boutique for the female character in Moon. I hope that this was a hint for a future Alolan Form since Arbok isn't even in the Alola pokedex. I originally wanted it to be just Ground but I think Poison/Ground typing would be a better fit. It could utilize Rough Skin or Dry Skin as it's abilities. However, when I did some more research, in Pokémon Sun for the male character, there is another interesting tank that can be found in the same shop. It's called the Dark Tank and has a blue Houndoom head on it. Interesting...could there also be an Alolan Houndoom coming too?? Wishful thinking or sneaky hint - you be the judge.

Well, that's it for this post. I hope you enjoyed this post and will Follow me so you don't miss out on future posts. Leave a comment below telling me what Alolan forms that you hope to see in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Have a great weekend and as always - keep on gaming!!
